So often people forget to voice the positive!
I noticed that a lot of comments are kind of negative! Yes, DeGroot’s is expensive. I only buy what I can plant myself (not rich) but always have been pleased with their friendly service and guarantees. DeGroot’s is a huge operation. They DO have to pay all their employees a decent wage to run a business of this high standard.

I hired Sipkins during a move to take my houseplants, revamp the soil and cut them back. These plants were transplants from my parents funeral baskets. Brad, and Susan did the work. They were upfront and honest and took such special care of these plants just like they were their own. I would recommend Sipkens for all your garden needs over Detroit’s. They even sent me messages and pics throughout the job. Very thoughtful! Thanks so much!

My dream was to have a yard planted to attract wild birds, butterflies and pollinators. It needed to provide shelter, food and water. Their guidance and knowledge on what to plant plus have them do the actual planting for me, made my dream a reality. I love looking out my window as the seasons change. As well we have become friends. p.s I provide the bird baths for water all year around.

A visit is a must every spring! What a beautiful nursery! Everything is so artistically displayed. The owners are very congenial and helpful. The hostas are unique, healthy and in an abundant variety. Make sure to stop by whenever possible!

Their professionalism from design stage, to the attention to detail, to the quick responses to our many questions or concerns while the job was underway was greatly appreciated. The crew took pride in their work and we had fun watching the process unfold while interacting with staff. We are looking forward to enjoying our first full spring in our new backyard.
