The Writer's Festival provided the opportunity to visit this restaurant twice in one week. What strikes one immediately, besides the very loud fountain by the door, are the warm and welcoming smiles of the staff. I was famished when we arrived at 5:00 PM. When our food came, very quickly after we ordered, I though that the servings seemed awfully small. Our meal arrived piping hot, the Jasmine Rice was wonderful, fresh and light and the Pad Thai and shrimp dish were very beautifully presented and very colourful. I am very much a foodie and I want a restaurant to give me an experience I am unable to create in my own kitchen. What Talay Thai provides is food that is a riot of flavours – seemingly five to nine distinct flavours flowing over your taste buds simultaneously. It works and I am now curious as to how I can recreate these multiple flavour sensations in my own kitchen. Our second meal was exactly the same as the first. Warm greeting, quick but unrushed service (great for pre-theatre or event dining), deceptively small looking servings, but incredibly tasty, attractive and filling food. We choose another shrimp dish, this one made with coconut milk and a tofu and vegetable dish. Everything was perfectly cooked and what is most striking about the food is the sense that every ingredient is incredibly fresh. Both meals were delivered to our table at their peak of perfection. As we arrived early there was plenty of free parking adjacent to the restaurant. This is the perfect place to shift from work to relaxation mode. With their quick service Talay Thai is also an ideal place to eat if the next part of your evening includes getting to your entertainment venue, well fed all while feeling unrushed. Lire plus

Although I have stayed overnight at the WelcomInn a few times, mostly I come into town only for the day -- they offer very convenient and cost-effective day rates. Parking is ample and free. The location is great for me, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable, with everything I need, including free wifi. There's a huge selection of restaurants within walking distance, but I usually prefer to bring food from home, so the small fridge and bar sink are great to have. Check in and out is easy, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. My only complaint? It would be nice if the rooms had microwaves. Overall, a great value and a clean, friendly, convenient hotel experience for the business traveler. Lire plus

Great Pub joint to sit down and hang out with friends and have a few beers. The selection is AMAZING! There's no way you wouldn't able to find at least one thing you're interested in. I always have a hard time picking from two or three items. All the sandwiches I've ever had there have been awesome. My fiancee usually orders either pastas, nachos or fajitas and has never been dissatisfied with his meals either. Staff is always prompt and polite, lovely to deal with. My favorite lately has been the Prime Rib Sandwich with cheese. Great food! Lire plus

I have to prempt everything that I am going to say with I did enjoy the food so much that I may go there again for dinner (am on contract in the area). The hot and sour sea-food soup appeared to be small, but when the flavours filled my mouth, and I discovered 3 large cleaned shrimp (only tail bit remaining) I'm happy to say I'm quite pleased with this selection. The mango salad was not available as a 'plain' mango salad, but also came with shrimp, making it $5-$7 more than I usually pay for mango salad. Again the shrimp were large, clean and fresh (good 'bite', not soggy at all), but the dressing seemed made at the last minute and didn't contain the rich complexity that the soup did. I have stayed in many hotels & motels in sudbury, also around Canada and the USA. The Moonlight motel stood out above other sudbury motels. The motel is like staying in a franchise hotel room with a very reasonable room rate. My room Included a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and I got one with a kitchen. As well the motel is located in a quiet area of Sudbury, very easy to get around sudbury within 10 mintues to work downtown. The management, front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and the service was above what other motels would do. The motel room I stayed in was clean when I checked in. After each day I got back from work none of my things were moved and the room was cleaned exceptional well. I was impressed with the Moonlight Inn motel that is why I am writing this review.
