We go to the Barley Works on Friday or Saturday nights after nine pm to play trivia. We have samples seveal of their menu offerings and really enjoy the perogies and spinach salad. April is a great bartender and we are never left waiting or wondering if we are being taken care of.
Worth the drive to Waterloo if you like a place to sit and play a bit of interactive trivia. So long as you don't mind that it is mostly a student hangout (and we "old fogies" don't mind at all).

The entire staff is, by far, the most polite, curtious and experts of the customer service industry....now about the food....GOOD LORD!!! I have never been this excited about pizza, ever! I promise each and every one of you that if you were to switch to this establishment, you will never call for or go to another pizza joint EVER AGAIN. Just try it...its a wonderful, party experience in your mouth, to say the least. Pepperoni, bacon (REAL FREAKIN BACON!), pineapple and green peppers. BEST EVER!!

The new sign out front is nice to see though the interior could still use some fixing up. In my mind however that is minor (how many of us eat in the shop?), The pizza is outstanding and service is fast and friendly.

This is a gem of a restaurant, tucked into a strip mall. Eaten there three times now, and consistently the food is fresh, tasty, and well prepared. Some highlights - great hot and sour soup; fantastic General Tao's chicken, and fantastic chicken balls. Try the crab cheese wontons for a nice treat, as well.

Frank's bacon is the best bacon you'll ever have. The atmosphere is a big jovial family. The diner hasn't been updated in 50 years, so it's a major throw back, but it's clean and you can tell that the owners love the place.
The breakfast for $5.95 has three awesome eggs, awesome bacon, home fries and hot buttered toast. SO GOOD!!!
Lunch, try the awesome burger with bacon, cheese and the works for less than $7.

Richard and his team did an outstanding job replacing failing brick and mortar on our century home. Richard is professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to find the best selection of bricks to make our home look authentic to the period and existing colour palette. Richard and his crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and were responsive to any concerns and questions we had. They also carefully cleaned up upon completion. A friend gave us a couple of gift certificates for Dino's so we decided to go there for dinner. We got there around 5:30pm and were promptly seated. It was not that busy for a Monday evening. We ordered our drinks and the rib & wing combos. The combos included a choice of side ceasar or house salad or house soup. We got one of each of the salads and they were very good. The ceasar salad had real bacon bits and shredded parmasaen cheese on top. We got the house Jack Daniels BBQ sauce on the ribs & wings and it was AWESOME!!! The wings were decent sized and there was lots of meat on the ribs.... which fell right off the bone! The combo also included a small portion of veggies and choice of potato..(we got fries and sweet-potato fries). The desserts were ok.... the turtle cheese cake was a bit small but tasted good. The chocolate avalanche would have been better with brownie instead of chocolate cake. The waitress was very nice and checked on us a few times and refilled our drinks. We'll definitely be going back!!!

Finally, Frankies Lounge is open again, and it's beautiful. Not only is the 70s retro feel there, but the food was excellent. Fish and Chips the best and my friend had the Filet Mignon....mmmm so good. You gotta give the NEW Festival Inn (Frankies) a try. We will be back.
