My cousin from Holland (owner of a travel agency) wanted a special menu with a capable Chef and a special place to celebrate his 50th Birthday on holiday in Canada. He found it in Slackoni's. The setting on the water was intimate and relaxed with music supplied by a classical guitarist. This was a multi-course meal and each was delivered with great presentation style and flavour. The group was delighted with anti-pasto dishes of vitello tomatol, smoked salmon, mini portabello mushrooms stuffed with shrimp and a mouth watering caprese salad. Moving inside to a cozy adjoining party room we were treated to a tasty seafood fettuccini pescatore. The main event was elk tenderloin in a maple bbq glaze. And for those who like desert, the ultimate..the zucotto "italian bomb cake" Amazing!
As per the menu, the wine was also chosen to compliment each course. It was a great event and everyone was thrilled. Our european guests, so used to eating in Paris were very impressed! Hats off to Slackoni's staff in delivering the service in keeping with the excellent food. Congratulations to all!

The place is extremely clean and the staff is courteous and caring. I try to get there at least once a month...certainly worth the drive from Ottawa!

Having lived here for over 5 years now, I can say its been great considering the fair price. The building is cleaned often, and the elevators have never been broken. When I needed maintenance in the apartment (leaky faucets, broken oven, etc), they sent a repairman within a few hours. Ive never had an issue with the parking situation, as I pay for 2 spots (50 ea) in the parking garage, where there is ample room for tenants that are willing to pay the nominal fee for covered (!) parking.

This place was able to help me when no other mechanic was able to (6 different shops and 1 dealership). My issue was with locking lug nuts where the key was damaged. Every other mechanic told me that their bolt extractors wouldn't work on my rims because there wasn't enough space to latch onto the bolts. These guys are every good,fair and honest as good as my friend suggest. I brought in my 2009 Toyota Camry , knowing there was some work that needed to be done. They did it for $450 lower then the original quote that i got elsewhere . I was informed throughout the process and given best case and worst case scenarios and they were very honest in all of their dealings with me.
