I've been with Rogers for at least 8 years as I always wanted to support Canadian companies. I bought a S5 generic cover for $52 last night and was told that we have 15 days to return it. The sales rep even put the cover on for me, so the installation was correct. The next day I put the phone in my empty pocket, went to work without playing with it and only played with it for half hour before wanting to return it. I went to rogers and Sarah (manager on duty) claimed the water proof plastic was bent and then later claimed there was a minor scratch which we couldn't see. We compared my cover to an unopened package which looked exactly the same to my fiance and I. Sarah argued that refunding a 'defective' product is an expensive loss for them, the products have no defects as the her and her employees physically open and check all the packages that enter their store, etc.
We went to deer foot's Rogers afterwards and the sales rep said the defect was insignificant. He refunded us ASAP.
Rogers is losing business to Wind, one of the reason because of this kind of customer services. Especially it's a Rogers corporate store.
