It was my first time being at Cactus Club West on Broadway & Granville. My experience there was phenomenal! Not only was the food delicious, our server Emma F definitely made the night for us and she will be someone we won’t forget! We hoped by coming in on a Sunday it would be less of a wait. We were fortunate to get seated at 6pm as whenever we drive past there is always a lineup. Street parking is available. We tried their caprese to start, their daily pasta which was a red pepper cream penne & their prosciutto e Rucola pizza. They serve neopolitan style pizza w/ a nicely salted chewy crust. As the tomatoe sauce was fresh, the downside is a slighly wetter pizza base. Overall, good food eating experience & worth trying. Lire plus

I've been going to Darby's for over 10 years now. It's had it's ups and downs, and right now I think it's in an up place. The food has suddenly gotten a lot better in the last few months, better than some of chain restaurants. The room is a bit old and dated, but in the evening it has that feeling of being in a buddies basement bar-but with good food. I would certainly recommend Darby's as an alternative grown up dining environment for anyone in Kitsilano. You get food better than the big box chains, cheaper, and in an environment you don't feel the need to get dressed up for. Lire plus

Awesome Asian fusion brunch with Filipino and Vietnamese influences. It was so good that I did not even notice my potato hash had no meat! It was comprised of a unique combo of ingredients including chick peas,l and sweet potato. I tried a bite of the breakfast Vietnamese bun and that was tasty too. There are 8 seats in the patio, not the best view as you see the viaduct but when it is sunny and warm it was just right. The service was friendly and excellent. Several spritzers available too.
