Have frequented this restaurant in the past and it was excellent. Tonight it was terrible. Slow service (didnt even acknowledge our presence or take our drink order). Dinner was cold, sent it back to be nuked, and chicken bones in the hot chicken sandwich. Upon checkout, we could have walked out without our payment being approved unless another waitress had noticed our receipts sticking out of the machine. Where is the owner, or France (the best hostess/manager ever!).?
I have never seen worse service in my entire life. First off, I am a firm believer in second chances, people have bad days, sometimes orders go wrong it happens. I convinced my mom and my grandmother to give this place a second chance after the last time they ate there when Embers just plain forgot they were there.
Anyways, from the moment we walked in I regretted it. The hostess didn't even look up and greet us, she just asked us "how many...". She cleans off a table for us but doesn't give us
Decided to jaunt into Bobcaygeon with my two sisters as they wanted to take advantage of Bigleys sales. Happened upon this restaurant as its location is directly across the street from the shop. Greeted quickly at the door by a young male server and sat at our booth with drink orders taken. The food was served hot and was very good. My sisters and I had a friendly conversation with the server who seemed genuinely interested even though he was busy with other tables. No complaints, would return.
Went out for valentines day for soggy bruschetta, and burnt chicken parm (which was the special), ribs which were actually okay but came with(creamy mashed potatoes) that ended up being cold chunky mashed with potato skin . Our started (bruschetta) was thrown on the table by a young male server who spent the night running around the restaurant (which was not very busy) we did not get plates, had to beg our server for refills which never came, waited forever for our bill and then ended up paying 60 dollars for the meal, and thank goodness I had cash or we might still be waiting for our server to come to our table. I am losing faith in these independent restaurants at least with the chains you know what you’re getting…. Would never go back to this restaurant even if I was paid to!!!
Meal was horrible. Hamburgers were dry and tasteless!! Fries were cold and greasy!!! I wouldn't feed this to a dog. Offer of 10% off next visit....I think NOT... I wouldn't return again and 10% off is not going to change my mind. Next time will hit Subway for cheaper meal and better tasting!
Disappointing and expensive. Lunch $18. per person, quality was poor, soup served cold. "Homemade" soup was a beef broth with what appeared to be leftover hamburger and potato thrown in. Brushchetta was cold and soggy with clumps of butter. Yuck! Save your money, or eat elsewhere!
Went for breakfast as soon as the door opened. Was chearfully greated and seated. Made or breakfast orders and they even conceted to a swap on a breakfast meal due to diet needs.
Eggs ccoked EGGZACTLY as asked , bacon done perfect. Service to refill coffee prompt and meal delicious.
Cook even had time to pop out to ensure our breakfast was ok. Before a giant table of 16 older ladies came in. Must be good place with groups like this coming. Nice young man.
My family and I ordered 4 chicken finger dinners from this restaurant and I was totally and completey apaulled at the lack of food as well as the quality of food. The chicken fingers were tiny and partly burned, the fries were few and what was there was greasy and soggy. Gross! We paid almost $60 for the food and there was less than $5 dollors worth. We actully ended up throwing out the fries. Save your money people, this is a terrible restaurant!!!!

Service can be adequate to poor. Of the Three visits so far, 2 of the 3 times the service was Good. One time though, the staff were a bit over zealous in refilling the sugar shakers for the next round of diners, and when I balked at having the meal disturbed, was quite annoyed that I should interrupt my meal, so that they could complete their rounds. I summoned the management so that this intrusion to my meal would be corrected. That was 6 months ago. Like I say above, I may frequent this establishment again. I may not. Time will tell. Great food , but a bit pricey for the location.
