Newmarket Plaza Fish & Chips

Delicious fish and chips (best place in town)! Friendly service! Strongly recommend this place to everyone!

Square (frozen?) Fish. Not much of it. Not much taste. Chips OK if a little overdone. People friendly enough. No mushy peas but decided to give the food a try. If you order the fish and the chips separately they are a penny cheaper! Usually a touch cheaper when you order both. Cheap tables and decor (if you call it that) in dire need of a revamp. School cafeteria's have better atmosphere. Below average and will not willingly go back. To the person who said that said their boyfriend is English-well so am I and this has to be the worst I've had in Canada in the 12 years I've been in Newmarket.

i LOVE this place! authentic, TRUE fish & chips with the atmosphere to go along. we waited for nearly 15 miuntes for our take-out order, which i can completely understand considering how great it was. fish was excellent, chips were delicious...and the gravy was exactly the type of salty, congealed consistency i was looking for :) will visit again and again!

This place was great. It's just a little restaurant tucked away in a Plaza but great food. My boyfriend ranted and raved about how wonderful the fish and chips were. He said it's the only place in Canada so far that compares to England. : ) Very friendly people. Will definitely be going back!
