Helpful and friendly staff. The store is cat-friendly and dog-friendly so you can bring your buddy inside with you. Solid selection of toys and high quality food. They sell cat harnesses. Prices are very reasonable. Overall a great locally owned business.

My review is directed toward the very kind man who works in the fish section, I sadly do not remember his name. Very soft spoken and very very helpful with helping me out when I need direction on what to get/ do with my new fish friends! My foster pups and I love stopping by when I need anything for my tank. I cannot say enough good about Amherst. The staff is incredibly kind and highly professional. Our little dog, Casey, received the most gentle treatment and plenty of treats. When she became sick with mitral valve disease, Dr. Wark was always available and diligently cared for her. Casey did die, but, we are so thankful that her last months were filled with love. Amherst was a great support and continues to be as we nurse our 18 year old cat, Tiger, through her golden years. Dr. Yuen is making sure that Tiger enjoys every one of her nine lives. There have been several times where my heart was broken and I thought it was the end, but, through highly capable diagnosis, we still have our little girl. I can call anytime and come dashing in a minute before closing and I am always greeted by the kindest front end staff I could ever hope for. Amherst has been a part of our family for so many years and I could not be more grateful for the journey we have been privileged to share with this top-rate veterinary clinic.

This is an excellent store, with good prices and a large selection of food, treats and pet accessories.
The staff are friendly, charming and extremely helpful. While we were under quarantine staff created a cat food order which we were able to pay for over the phone, and have it picked up within a very short time.

Wow this store deserves a high rating not a low one. After the pet store within Metrotown closed due to the strikes, this store is a bit busier than normal but still nice.
The staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly and it’s worth to come in just to see the adorable animals (especially kittens) up for adoption. Proceeds from adoption go to charity too. But if you’re wanting to adopt please consider the adults cats, not just kittens who are often adopted very quickly.

Dr. Anderson is an excellent, knowledgeable, experienced vet. Extremely informative, patient, and caring, he is willing to discuss any concern you may have for your pet. Hes also very funny! Veterinary hospitals are private hospitals mind you, and vet bills can be expensive if pet owners do not practice preventative medicine for their pets. I think Dr. Andersons fees are reasonable (cheapest check-up fee around for a cat) and he goes above and beyond teaching good pet care.

Took two big dogs to the Bosley's in Trenant Park Square in Ladner today to bathe them. Was very impressed with the staff as they were extremely helpful and friendly. And, the dog washing area was clean and had everything I needed - including treats for the dogs! (One dog does NOT like getting into the bath). Highly recommend!

This store is great, friendly service, inventory is fresh, they finally carry the Red Dog Blue Kat Raw food! Verrrry happy about that!
Don't have to go to another store.
Their prices are cheaper than other pet food stores in West van & korna around the block.
