We love this place for tons of reasons...the food is fresh, with lots of flavor. The owner, chef and staff are very sweet, friendly and work hard to make your meal memorable. I love to support local business and this one is easy to recommend! This has to be on of my favourite restaurants in the area. I have been about 10 times now and have never been dissappointed. Even my lack of chopstick skills has never prevented me from enjoying the flavourful food. I have tried a few things on the menu and have not had a bad dish yet. I am a semi-regular at this location, and also go to the other locations in Waterloo and Cambridge now and then. The service is pretty snarly, but a bit more attentive than at the other locations. The food is always good. I love their Malaysian Seafood Laksa Noodle Soup, and their pho, as well as their pork balls. Just don't go during the busy dinner hours. Lire plus

I love Little Saigon because the food is great, but the prices are very great too! I often eat at Royal Pho in Ancaster because it is closer, but I end up getting food that doesn't taste quite as good, and costs more. Another good thing about Little Saigon is it is close to the mall, so I can escape food court prices and have a tasty sit down meal. The food is fresh, arrives quickly and is flavourful and delicious. I always finish every last bite, it is so good! If you like vietnamese food and eat it often, this is the place to go! Lire plus

This might be my favorite restaurant. I have been coming to this location for about 5 years and it is very consistent. The food is incredibly good, there are other restaurants that serve better quality thai dishes in the K-W area, but for this price this is the best deal. The most ‘bang for your buck’ so to speak. The portions are very generous; I am about 6’1 230 lbs and I can eat, typically I struggle to finish a meal consisting of an appetizer and main course. I always leave full, satisfied, and without breaking the bank. I absolutely recommend visiting and will personally continue to so in the future. The only criticism I can offer specific to this location is the quality of atmosphere. It’s in a bad area of town being downtown Kitchener. The restaurant itself is located in a dive/basement like part of the building. The building it is in looks aged, poorly maintained, and contains several other questionable businesses. The parking lot isn’t paved or well lit, and feels like you might get mugged leaving or traveling to your car. The inside the restaurant is kind of gloomy and all of the furniture, utensils, and equipment appear to be weathered. There is also this annoying bell or charm the goes off every time someone enters or leaves the restaurant making it feel like a convenience store or a queue to get on the subway. The service, like the food is also very good. The restaurant is never over packed. I have never had to wait for a table. As soon as I walk through the door a server is grabbing the appropriate amount of menus and walking me to the table. I literally do not stop walking from when I leave the car to when I get to my table because the staff is so on top of it when guests arrive. Although the service to very good, it’s not too good, and that’s good. I personally do not like being bugged and having my conversation interrupted every 5 minutes by some desperate for tips student. They sit you down, bring your drinks and meal very quickly, and leave you alone. One final thing I will mention is regarding the pho (soup) portion sizes. Whatever your non-thai soup portion experience is leave it at the door, the portions are extremely large, a small or medium will feed one person and a large will probably feed two. Lire plus

I have been to Golden Basil twice in the last month...both times I had very enjoyable meals..maybe not the best Thai food that I've ever had but certainly adequate. Actually, more than adequate. This restaurant has become one of our favourite places to go in Burlington. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are so nice! From the moment you sit down they already have tea for you. One thing weve never figured out is that they give you 1 less menu than the amount of people in your group. But it all works out. The food is absolutely delicious and everything you need is at arms reach at your table. I highly reccommend the medium rare beef soup (101.). It may be one of the most delicious soups on earth..! I've been hoping to find a place that does a version of Pad Thai which rivals the Pad Thai that the Thai Terrace (formerly in Mississauga) used to make. We loved the food here (a worthy rival for Ben Thanh just down the road). Great price & wonderful food. Best Mango Creme Brule ever - and what was that raspberry/chocolate sauce YUMM! Steaks were melt in the mouth. Picture a really good Mandarin. AYCE with great taste and prices. Yes the service is slow but the place is clean and nice. The food is top notch for ayce. I dare you to find better Thai and Sushi for this price. Lunch is $15 and dinner is $25. Something for everyone and please try the deep fried cheesecake, so good. My fav place for the last year. Pho Dau Bo is probably the only Vietnamese restaurant in Bram-Bram that does not trace its history to the original Pho Peter (my favourite) in some way. This eatery is part of a small chain covering Golden Horseshoe that opened way back in 1996. The Brampton location is a relatively new one having opened in 2006 but going strong. The food here is good, very good. The portions are generous, unless you haven't eaten for a month or have the metabolism of a cheetah, this is a meal in a bowl. The waitresses are courteous. No attitude here. When asked for extra ganish it was brought promptly and with a smile, unlike the downtown Toronto eateries where I was given the impression that they had to fight an ill-tempered chef for it and, even after winning the battle, it came out of their paycheques. The pho is hot and tasty, the way it should be. The garnishes are fresh, not brown and wilted like something ready for the compost pile. The meat is lean and there is lots of it. All in all, pho worth writing to the rellies about. For a Vietnamese restaurant the decor/atmosphere is fine. Don't expect a fancy place but do expect good food. After a couple of visits, this place is definitely threatening to unseat my fave. Lire plus

I liked Pho Hung. The staff is friendly and helpful, it was nice when he suggested I not get the fish soup as it maybe more on the fishy side. I got the veggie spring rolls which were very nice a little on the greasy side but tasted good after soaking in napkins for the extra oil. Overall I would say this is the best restaurant for a date in Etobicoke! The atmoshere was excellent, there was a large selection of food, the food was tasty, the service was excellent and we were able to stay for 4 hours without being rushed out at any point! As for the couple with the 1 year old child who had to pay for a full adults meal, I am really sorry to hear this. Yes that really is over the top! Lire plus
