FINALLY are restaurant in Belleville that knows food, service and ambiance. I received a gift ceritificate to this restaurant as a welcome to Belleville present and it was BY FAR the best thing given to me since my family and I relocated here. We had the best experience from entry to exit. The staff is so warm, welcoming and accommodating to our every need. They have an extensive wine selection (no other restaurant in town compares...trust me I've been to every one) I can't say enough good things about our experience here. This place was bustling on the beautiful sunny day we headed over, and I now know why. Everything about this place was great!
The server was smiley and took great care to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was fresh and tasty, and sitting outside in the fresh air with the lovely park and lake view was unbeatable.
The french fries are so good, they don't need ketchup!
If you pass by, make sure you take the time to stop here. It's well worth a detour, too, to be truthful.

After a long drive from Hamilton I was ready to eat anything, and this was in sight from where I had to go. As soon as my business was done I headed in, not realising that it was already 9:15 and they close at 9:30 on a Monday. After I had filled my first plate the hostess informed me of the closing time, but she said that I was welcome to fill up as many plates as I liked and eat at my leisure while they packed up. So I did, and washed them down with a Tsing Tao. I found the food to be the equal of other buffets I have visited, just wish I could have had more time, but that wasn't their fault.

I love this place. You can't beat the house salad. The food and atmosphere are also great, however there are a few seats which are really poor, some almost sit you in the washroom the other sits you in the kitchen

We frequent this little piece of culture in downtown Belleville as often as we can. The lunch menu is incredible. Where else can you get delicious sandwich/quiche/salad with soup for $10? The bread is organic and baked fresh on the premises. The service is friendly and when you ask about the food they can always tell you what you want to know. The atmosphere is lovely and when the kitchen is open like it is there is nothing to hide. The bistro is impeccably clean and it is obvious that the chef/owner takes great pride in his business. We have eaten every sandwich, quiche, and meat pie on the menu as well as every soup and salad. We are never disappointed. For dinner you have to try the chef's table that takes place twice per month. An opportunity to sit with 12 other people to enjoy the surprise chef's choice menu of starter, main, and dessert. Incredible. If you haven't gone to L'Auberge de France then make a point of going. And don't miss the fresh croissants on Saturday mornings.

At first I wasn't sure about this place but after my first visit I was sold. The food is amazing, the sushi is so fresh and the waitresses are so nice. They are always smiling and are quick on their jobs. You're never waiting for refills of drinks or to order. When we leave even the sushi chefs say goodbye, that's how polite and relaxed this place is. I love it.

Sushi is better than any I've had in any big city, but what really sets this place apart is the service, the service is outstanding. Their main waitress is amazing, not sure of her name (she has been there for years) but she is so courteous, the owners are lucky to have her.

I love the general atmosphere of this place which is charming and delightful. Its in a beautiful heritage house that transports you back to another time.
The service is quite good too.
They offer a wide ranging menu. I haven't had the pizza the guy makes there in years but it was probably my favourite thing.

We (myself and my daughters) stopped by on route from the Ottawa to home (Hamilton) on Sunday August 8th to order take out. Our family has stopped at the Gateway Restaurant for decades to enjoy their always delicious family style meals. We ordered club sandwich platters and a BLT platter- sooooo delicious as always. The staff provided the utmost attention to care with preparing our takeout food under the covid precautions. Until our next trip and thank you.

My favorite asian food restaurant in the Quinte Area by far as I am not a big fan of the local buffets.
My only wish is that they would serve delicious Pho. The vermicelli dish with spring rolls and grilled pork is a delight. The lemon grass dish is another treat. Wonton soup is hot and yummy.
Service is excellent. At times, it can get busy during the lunch rush, I did not have any problems. Take out is just as good.
The interior decor is very nice as well. The parking is never a problem in the King George Square.
