I have always been interested in martial arts but never figured I could afford to take it up.. A friend of mine suggested that I come to a class at Western Karate Academy where his family studied Shokaido. So I went to watch and within a few minutes I knew this was the place for me. Sensei Doan is very understanding and compassionate about each one of his students...
The students themselves are made to feel a part of a very fine family. When working with each other we learn the most we can to the best of our abilities and it helps us to develop our character within.
The people in the academy make you feel welcome right from the first time you walk thru the door. Now martial arts is not for everyone but how will you know unless you give it a try?

Absolutely incredible hotel. First time we've stay there with our hockey team. They are so organized and great with groups. The rooftop pool was heated and we a blast. The rooms were very clean & updated. Restaurant was delicous the warm butternut squash beet salad was great and the team enjoyed the hot continental bfst. I highly recommend this hotel I was pleasently surprised at how impressed I was!

Loved taking lessons, recommended to everyone, flexible, taught some of the important rules that we dont even observe and think of: left turn on one way, right turn on one way street having trafic lights for right turn etc., positive personality and care for trainees' to have passed test on first attempt.
