I needed a pin for my excavator and a young apprentice named Cole selected the correct stock, welded a washer on one end, drilled a hole for a large cotter pin, and chamfered the end on a lathe. He added a large washer for the cotter pin side to complete the process. I was charged for 15 min labour and the materials for a total charge of $37.50. I do not think any other shop could ever beat that. The pin fit perfectly.

We needed an assessment of our water system to determine the cause of low pressure. Pinnacle Water Pump service booked an appt promptly and came to Salmon Arm to do a pump test on our well pump and replaced the water pressure tank that was malfunctioning. Great service from very knowledgeable team.

I brought my 1998 25hp mercury OB with NO SPARK to Richard. He quickly analyzed the issue (stator) and once I found a used one on ebay and had it delivered, Richard put it back in. After confirming spark, he called me before doing anything else and asked if I wanted him to fire it up, maybe change the plugs, etc. He changed the leg oil and everything else was excellent. Great price, great service, a super honest and capable person. I highly recommend Shuswap Marine Service. Good job!

I called this morning because I really needed a special bouquet delivered - they went above and beyond - even calling back to let me know where things were at. This is why people love small towns! My family was really feeling the effects of the destructive windstorm that hit the Lower Mainland. Had a 3-day power outage due to a tree taking out our service line. It was difficult to access with their aerial lift truck, especially on a dark and rainy night, but they got everything in working order real quick. Lots of respect to these guys for their hard work and long hours while away from their families during the holidays.

Askew's Downtown is where I shop alot and it has managed to retain the "Corner store" small town feeling. The service is second to none and the store is clean and always well stocked. The staff is a part of the community and they make you feel like you're at home. If you want a store that does everything possible to make shopping a fun thing to do Askew's Downtown has it down pat:)

I took an important 16 year olds birthday card to the post office a week ago, and Liz put it through the test slot and it went through. It got returned today (her birthday is tomorrow) saying there wasn't enough postage on it. Liz immediately took responsibility for the mistake and insisted on paying for an express mail. I’m still stunned about the compassion Liz and the staff have at Salmon Arm post office.
