We live four (4) blocks away from La Spaghetteria and have been eating there for the past five years (usually parmigiano and steak). About a week ago and before hopping on a plane, I called and ordered sandwiches for pick-up so wife and I can eat at home. Yes, that's right, I do think about that! Wife went and picked up one. When we got to open the sandwiches, it seemed like big enough to feed the whole plane. That probably explains why the two (2) sandwiches cost $15. They were delicious, filled with top quality meat This is a great establishment, you can call ahead so they can prepare your order so there is less wait for you especially during summer, when the line can get long during dinnertime. The Grand Tandoori Flame Restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. She kept telling me how wonderful the food was, so I had to try it. My hubby and I went two months ago, and we have been going at least once a week ever since! Each time we go we keep introducing more friends and they are now addicts too. My favourite dish is the Chicken Vindaloo! It's so tasty and flavourful with just the right amount of bite. I also love their garlic naan, pakora, samosa and creamy mango dessert!! I do not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone as everything I have tried has been delicious. The only thing better than the food is the kindness, and genuine nature of the owners; Harry & Rani. I went to the Wok Box in Grandview corners for the first time recently and it was terrific! The food was great tasting, hot in temperature and was well portioned for a reasonable price. There was two of us eating and with drinks the bill was just under $20. You have the choice of eating from thier cool take out boxes or from regular plate ware. We used the boxes as we wanted them for our leftovers. The staff were friendly and even ran our food to the table. Something that stood out was that they are selling hockey bus tickets to the canucks game. I'll be going back to buy some for my husband.... Great British-themed pub in Newport Village! During the Fall and Winter months it is often packed with a casual, yet fun crowd all weekend long. There is live entertainment on the weekends, which can be fun as well. The servers are attentive and the food is generally good (for pub food). I recommend sticking to the more traditional dishes like the stuffed baby yorkies, Guinness soup, shepherd’s pie, and the steak and Guinness pie (my fave!). We were there this past weekend for the first time in awhile and we realized why we love it so much – it’s that comfortable pub down the street when the weather is bad and you don’t feel like cooking!
