After filling up with gas, my car would not start at the pumps at the Husky station adjacent to the Fort Horseless Carriage garage, around 6 in the evening. I was attempting to get on a ferry back to Victoria, but that plan had to be abandoned, along with my car at the garage. The attendant, David, allowed me to push the car in front of the bay doors for the night. I returned at 8 the next morning where I met Gavin, one of the mechanics at Fort Horseless Carriage. We have been taking our pet here for the last 7 years. The care is fantastic and the staff really care about animals and ensuring the best care for your pet. When our cat was hit by a car they kept us up to date on his progress and ensured that they were upfront about the care and attention he needed and what the associated costs would be. It was great to go through this stressful situation with caring and compassionate service like Granville Island Veterinary Hospital offered. I have been going to this place for about 5 years now and am overly happy with them. As a female it is incredibly hard to find a mechanic that doesn't rip you off, and since day one they have been more honest and respectful to me then anywhere I have ever dealt with. Of course i priced checked and compared with other companies the first time i dealt with them, and they were hundred yes hundreds less. They will tell you their honest opinion. I owned a lil red civic, and they never got me to put work into things i didn't need and always helped me to keep that lil bugger on the road. They did extras for me, and treated me so well. I can't express how great this company is, and thank them for everything! You can't go wrong with them
