I read all the reviews prior to making reservations there. It seemed to me that the bad reviews were from folks that did not know what to expect and were surprised when they got there. The web page is quite clear of the menu and venue. I saw it and was not surprised when I got into the restaurant.
We went for dinner before a show at the NAC. The server was at our table promptly and even asked if we were going to a show so that she could ensure our service and food would allow us plenty of time to get to the show. Very thoughtful and the service remained top notch throughout.
Our appetizers were great. Our dinners were very good, the fish was fresh, the steak was done exactly as asked, the duck confit melted in your mouth except for the crispy skin...which was perfect. The sides were appropriate for the meal and also delicious but the 3 root vegetable mash that came with the Duck was extraordinary and deserves mention..Some had desserts which were declared as a real treat.
We were in and out in time for our show but never hurried or short changed in our dinner. A very good experience overall. Pricey? Well, it was everything that was posted on the web page so no surprised at all. A very good spot with very good food and caring , professional servers.
Just what you want for a good night out.

We went to the Gatineau Store and the cashier #1 was Sylvie, her service was excellent. I made a little joke and we had a little laugh. she made sure I was paying the right price and thank me for shopping to Home depot. It made may day specially during the covid.

Challenging but fun! Metcalfe Golf Club is a well-kept, interesting course with something for every level of player. Mature trees line fairways on both the 18-hole and 9-hole courses (along with a few imposing trees that often block shots on some particular fairways!) The greens are well maintained and are designed to add challenge (and strokes) to your game! Hickories Restaurant provides tasty meals after a round; and for tournaments, the buffet dinners they provide are excellent! Metcalfe, on the whole, provides great value for both golf and meals, and is definitely one of the better clubs around Ottawa!

Approx six years ago this company did our driveway for us and did an outstanding job. . There has not been one problem or flaw in the work that was done by this company. The work was outstanding and the staff was very professional and efficient. Therefore when we decided to have our backyard landscaped approx a month ago we did not hesitate for one second to call Zodiac. They showed up within two weeks ready to take on the job . They have since completed it and they did so with professionalism , pride and a lot of very hard work.. The guys were very professional, neat, efficient and very attentive to all of the detail . Even when they did not know I was looking the foreman was very meticulous and particular about the job they were doing. .The job they did was none other than superb and we were very pleased with the magnificent oasis they created in our backyard... extremely pleased and would recommend this company in a heartbeat. I have permitted them to post before and after pictures to show the quality of work that was done. We have received nothing but the highest compliments on our yard and all the work Zodiac has done. A big thank you to all of you and I am so very happy that we chose you. Look forward to seeing the pictures and we hope to do business with you again when we get to the front yard:)

I have personally been a patient at Apple Tree for many months and I believe that the doctors are great! There kind to you, but they be serious when they need to be. They advise you on how to take care of your medical issue and try to make you feel comfortable. However, even if you book an appointment there they are usually 5-25 minutes late. If you want to see a doctor than you better make an appointment or you can be waiting for at least 30 minutes. Overall a good and honest place to go!
