I first visited Allen's back in the 80's, not long after it opened, and I was instantly smitten. So much so, in fact that I moved into the neighbourhood! First I was a regular, then a nuisance, and finally a piece of furniture. I finally moved back to Markham in 1998, and cannot justify going anywhere south of Steeles Avenue without stopping into Allen's for lunch. The food is imaginative, superbly prepared, and so delicious, that even when I'm full, I often look at the menu again, just to see what I'll be ordering on my next visit! And the patio? I hosted my birthday party this past April at Casa Manila (group of 30!) I was esctastic to discover that they hosted a Sunday brunch buffet with their top menu selections. Mila was my contact and she was AMAZING. Food was absolutely delicious! I had several guests with a diverse array of dietary restrictions (including vegetarian and no pork). Every single guest complimented the selection and quality of food. We all left with fully satisfied bellies. I definitely recommend this place! Lire plus

Sweetpea's is a very special florist in the heart of Roncesvalles. The staff at Sweetpea's are experts in their craft, designing beautiful bouquets that are unique and fitting for the occasion. During the spring and summer months Sweetpea's offers many annual and perennial potted flowers that are a perfect fit for the garden. Poinsettias and Christmas trees are available in the Christmas season. Beautiful decor, gift cards, vases, soaps and trinkets line the walls of Sweetpea's creating a little piece of heaven. After trying several other florists in the area and in Etobicoke Sweetpea's always astounds me with the freshness of their flowers. Bouquets last anywhere from one to 3 weeks depending on the sunlight or indoor temperatures. The prices vary depending on the type of flowers but they are competitive, if not a little cheaper.
