It must be Brampton's best kept restaurant secret. I didn't know La Capannina was open for lunch on weekdays and over the years I was repeatedly told they weren't. Upon discovering this we returned to enjoy an unhurried lunch built around their appetizers.
I won't bore you with the details other than to say everything was perfectly executed. Chef Massimo is a perfectionist and sources only the freshest ingredients. A bonus, our waiter was relaxed and throughly professional.
If you need a quiet place for a superior mid-day meal, I haven't found a better location in the area.

The food is great...THE best Thai food I can find in the GTA after visiting numerous different places.
The ambience makes a strong attempt to be reminiscent of Thailand, which is very appropriate for the wholesome food you receive.
The wait staff is quite good from my experience, They're always at your side as soon as your glass is almost empty.
The pad Thai is the best I've ever had...not dry like other places.
The thai special is amazing...I have yet to find a place that can compare to this perfect soup.

This is one of the best places for a burger in Brampton. Yes, it is $$$ for food there, but worth every penny. I say you get what you pay for. Portions are great, and the only bad thing I can say about them is they only take cash and no Interac.

My wife and I have been going here since they opened about 11 years ago.
The flavours are fantastic and our only complaint is that they need to tone down the spiciness (heat) of the food.
We keep trying other Indian restaurants in Brampton but always come back to Minar as our favourite.
Great food at a great price with an adequate atmosphere.
Great Masala Chai & Nan Bread too.
as to the washrooms.... they could use a bit of maintenance but are always CLEAN and certainly in better shape than most Indian restaurants we have tried.

Although they're famous for their chicken, we'll be going back for their fish (and maybe try the chicken for my 'no way I'm eating fish' husband). My son and I were looking for a quick bite for lunch after doing some shopping at the nearby Scholars Choice and found this place. Smelled soo good. As we didn't see a lot of prices or labels, my son ordered the Portuguese sausage sandwich and I lingered over the windows filled with mountains of fish, rice, potatoes and was served by a very pleasant and helpful young man. I asked about a particular dish and ended up ordering the amazing looking and super delicious cod with a side of potatoes, The server put two layers of potatoes in a good sized container, covered it with the huge portion of cod and then he began spooning a loving amount of the yummy sauce over the dish. As it really isn't a sit down place, we were hungry and ate there. I paid less than $20 and was in heaven. My son enjoyed his sausage but will definitely order the cod next time. Was surprised to read about 'grumpy' servers. Ours even thanked us for coming on our way out. Maybe because it was in the early Friday afternoon, we saw that customers were served quickly (looked like they ordered huge quantities ahead) and courteously. Definitely going back for that cod. Pssst...I overhead the guy tell someone its only available Fridays and Saturdays.
