You have to remember when going here that this is a wine tasting room, not a place to have dinner. The wine list is imaginative and approachable. The service on a good night is excellent, on a bad night is so-so, but the staff have always been very helpful with the wine choices, pairings, and flight recommendations. This is the place I visited when I cam to Vancouver for the first time. In that sense, when I noticed people having a great time there, it always puts a smile on my face. This time, although it was quite busy as usual but my friends and I were seated promptly. Friendly server whose service was simply a top-notch. This place's got everything: a great atmosphere, something different from other run of the mill restaurants in town and also more importantly great food! Excellent friendly staff! specifically at this location. Unlike the reviewer below( believe she has the wrong store altogether )The severs remember my orders, including the extra toppings I like , and unlike most of the other subways here in Nanaimo, aren't cheap with the toppings . I specifically drive out of my way to go to this store - usually am there when its busy around lunch, but have also gone late in the evening and although the staff has changed , they also have given good service.
