I was skeptical at first because they ranked so high in reviews and this place was located in Delta/Surrey but I must say I was really impressed. I think Ive been to all the Japanese restaurants along the Westcoast and Akari is absolutely top notch. Their black rice specialty rolls and tempura were especially memorable. The owner told me they have a tempura master who have been making tempura for 20 years! Ill definitely be back with my family and friends. Lire plus

We went on a saturday night and ordered their more popular dishes (which was recommended by the server). The ingreidents were very fresh and the food tasted great. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It's a small mom and pops restaurant...with really a little something for everyone. The food came out quick and the portions are huge! You really get your bang for your buck. Definately go again and try some of the other other dishes. The menu is very big and comes with pictures too. Would definately recommend to my friends. To start, this was the only Sushi place I was able to find that delivers in my area and they were quick with my order. The overall quality of their avocado and spicy salmon rolls are better than most other places. The delivery was fast and they were within 5 - 10 minutes but promised a 30 minute maximum wait. I didn't get my apple turnover, that I ordered and paid for The staff were all standing at the front, in a huddle, talking. The young lady that took my order asked if I'd like my root beer in a mug, while I waited for my order. Which would be about 12-15 minutes, then she would put it in a cup to go and refill it. This is a great spot for fish and chips on the beach. Lots of flavourful fish, fresh cut fries and delicious tartar sauce. Light batter not heavy and greasy which some seem to offer with great pride. It has more than ten lanes and it has different size/weight of the bowling balls. It has also a small pub/restaurant and a arcade. You just won't get bore when you are there!
