Starving while walking out from the subway, my boyfriend recommended this place since it was his go to place with his buddies for sushi. I was thinking that since it was a la carte it would be more expensive but surprisingly it wasn't. The place was quite busy and the service was somewhat slow. We ordered 2 supreme bento boxes at 10 dollars a piece and a spicy crunchy california roll as well as extra shrimp tempura. It was more than enough to fill us up and we had leftovers as well. They gave out generous portions for their price and the quality is good for its price. The service was decent and the bill wasn't expensive at all. I would definitely come back. Lire plus

My husband and I brought our 3 year old granddaughter to The Bull for an early supper. Her favourite is mac and cheese and the one at The Bull was one of the best that we have ever had at a restaurant. Her child portion was large enough for suppper with some leftovers for lunch the next day. My husband and I ordered the Bangalor Cod and the Shepherds Pie.Both were beautifully serve, delicious and plentiful. Kudos to the chef!! Staff was friendly and accommodating. I try to go to The Longest Yard once every week., and I have been since shortly after it opened. The staff and management are friendly and welcoming and the food is decently priced for the portion/quality you get. It's a 5 minute walk from Islington subway station so if you're planning on drinking, it definitely saves money on cab fare. If you drive, there's quite a bit of parking on Bloor and on Eagle (side street). They have one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and the beef is organic. They have other options as well, though the menu isn't fully organic. Every day, they have specials for dinner. Fish and Chips tend to be a special on Friday and Sunday night, and it's really good. The added bonus for me is that I'm a Baseball fan and The Longest Yard is the only place I go to where even if there's playoff Hockey and Basketball on, at least one TV will have Baseball and I won't be told "Sorry, nobody wants to watch Baseball." It caters to the family as well as the Sports fans. I was there for the Superbowl and for the Olympic Gold Hockey match. It's not the type of place where people go to get completely drunk, loud, and obnoxious though people are drinking. They also have contests during big events where you can win prizes and even cash! I have been going to Satay on the Road off and on for the better part of 15 years and have never once in that time had a disappointing meal. The food is always fantastic and despite having tried a myriad of different items I always come away from Satay satisfied. Of particualr note are one of the appetizers and one of the mains. First, the appetizer. Golden Baskets. They should call them by their full name...Golden Baskets of Amazing Tasty-ness with Just the Right Amount of Flavourful Spicy Goodness. I guess there isn't enough room on the menu for that though. These and the spring rolls are the perfect combo to kick off your meal. The second is Cashew Nut Chicken. I still hold Satay on the Road's Cashew Nut Chicken up as the gold standard for this dish. On a recent visit it made me miss Toronto...it is that good! The drinks list is kitschy too...they have their cocktail menu on those paper place-mats that used to be all the rage back in the '70s. Ah nostalgia. Anyway, located in the heart of Bayview Village...the area not the mall...Satay on the Road is a must dine for anyone who loves Thai and Malaysian food! Lire plus

This was our first time at Simply Thai Cuisine. It was recommended by a Toronto relative who has been impressed by the food and service on a number of visits. This restaurant was well worth the trip from London. Every item was excellent and our waiter was very helpful and understanding. The prices are extremely reasonable. This place is great, especially because of the location. Its only 2 minutes walk away from St. Clair Subway and is especially good if you work nearby. At lunchtime they never run out of food and everything is very high quality. They have spring rolls as well as pop, water and traditional thai beer. You can eat in or get take-away for only $6.00 which is cheaper than a lot of other places in the area, and excellent for a good amount of really tasty food. I would recommend their crystal noodles and barbecue chicken, but their pad thai is also really good. All in all this place is definitely a 5 star restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone!
