I had a bit of an issue today because I had a gift card and wanted to use it without a membership. They sent me to get a one-day pass in order to use my gift card. Unfortunately I wasn’t told that I needed to bring ID with me and I took an hour on the bus in the rain to get there … and get turned down from shopping there. Not my typical kind of bar. Here for a work party. Was ready to finish up my last (full) beer when the bottom of the cup completely fell off as I went to take my first sip. The Manager was extremely gracious and refunded my entire entre (27 dollars), and 3 beers. Obviously I’m happy about the freeness, being soaked sucked, but service like that is how you keep returning customers. Great attitude towards the whole thing. Very kind staff. Lire plus

Had a fabulous dinner, new partner n' I ordered the tuna tartar, caesar salad, and scallops for starts, had the lamb and sea bass for mains, and apple tart for dessert. Divine really, all of it very expensive though. But my boyfriend was treating me for my birthday and I was very happy and incidentally for a new relationship deeply touched. Service was lovely, had a bit of an accident and spilled my half glass of red on the boyfriend, oops, manager noticed the mishap and brought us a tide to go stick. Our server was great and quite on top of things. Place was packed on a Tuesday:) Will be back, fabulous. If not a little pricey recommend for anyone. Lire plus

The course is good and the tall trees all around you add to the fun of playing. I am not a fan of the condition of the mats in the "tee-boxes" but all in all its a good little pitch and putt course. Okay, I realize that there are not a tonne of public, and for that matter private, courses in the city but you could easily include any of the courses in the 'burbs and still call this the best course. Fraserview was once considered for the PGA tour and would have been used had the city let them lengthen a couple of holes. Oh well, perhaps this keeps this gem of a course a little less busy. Perched high up from the Fraser River you would never know you are smack dab in the middle of a major residential area of the city of Vancouver. Challenging and beautiful this course has another major thing going for it...the green fees. They are so reasonable it is shocking and particularly if you are playing with a junior the rates are very reasonable. The clubhouse is also excellent and offers a wide variety of food and drinks that you can enjoy on the patio while watching players come home on 18...for my money the most challenging hole on the course...but that may be because I lose a ball in the ravine every time I play there! If you are a golfer you HAVE to play Fraserview. Lire plus

We have been going to Jump since they opened and couldn't be happier with the experience they provide for our child. With carefully crafted programs, Jump ensures that they follow a steady progression in developing fundamental skills for your children. Physical awareness and body confidence are a primary focus to develop the fundamentals your child will need to participate not only in gymnastics but all sorts of other sports. They also have great staff and take a real interest in ensuring that their programs run smoothly. Not only do they have the structured programs but Jump also offers two services that I simply must mention. The first is their birthday parties. Our child's last birthday party was at Jump and a fabulous time was had by all. The 12 kids had 3 instructors who crafted a fun program of gymnastics, fun and games and the parents had the funky lounge to hang out and chat or observe their little ones from the viewing area. The second great thing that Jump offers are bi-weekly date nights in the middle and end of the month on Fridays. For a nominal sum, you can make reservations to drop your child off at Jump from 5-8pm for a fun night of gymnastics, games, crafts and bedtime stories. Meanwhile, you and your partner or date can go grab dinner or a movie in and around Yaletown or Gastown.
