There was something about Old Strathcona that was calling out to Ly Trinh. After running several successful nail salons with her husband Binh Nguyen, Ly decided it was time for a new challenge and that she wanted to do it near Whyte Avenue. “We had started out there before and moved out a long time ago,” says Ly. “I liked the area and wanted to go back there.” In April of 2015, she opened Dior Nails.

The nail salon industry is very competitive in Edmonton, with a number of outlets in many strip malls and shopping centres. Ly knew that coming back to Old Strathcona was going to be a challenge but she just loved the people there. “The people are from everywhere, east coast, west coast,” she says, adding it helps that the area is easily accessible. “When you want to start something, you want to choose an area that people find easy to travel to.”

    Super results and amazing service

    I just went to this new nail salon to get a manicure. The place is very nice and clean. The service was amazing!!! the staff are friendly and welcoming. They took time to find out what I really wanted and also made sure that I was satisfied with the results at every step of the process. I would definitely recommend it and definitely go back
