The most remarkable thing about PetAgree Professional Grooming is what you don't notice: Namely, the distinct doggie smell that pervades most purveyors of pet care.

"Most people comment on how bright and clean it is in here, and how it doesn't smell like a dog!" laughs owner Linda Kilpatrick, who opened the store in 2009 after 15 years of working as a certified groomer at various animal hospitals and pet stores in Toronto. She's earned a wealth of memberships and certificates, and has repeatedly been voted "Best Groomer" in the Bloor West Villager newspaper.

"I saw an opportunity and went for it," she explains, adding that every single one of her clients "moved with her" when PetAgree opened along the strip of antique stores that line the western end of Queen Street West. "My customers all follow me around because they like the personal touch I give their pets. I ask a lot of questions about what they want their pets to look like, and then I share what's possible with them. Plus, I do the extra brushing that other places don't."

    very friendly

    My groomer canceled on me and with the hot weather my dog needed to get his hair cut - both lady and man that work there were so kind to squeeze me in and my dog got his much needed hair cut. Thanks so much will definitely bring him there again !
