Mediocre at best

We decided to try a variety of items, sharing with family members. The pizza was horrible, hardly a toasted bread with tomato sauce and a few small pieces of cheese. The bruschetta was okay, as was the fresh bread, but the accomponying sauce was bland and did not make theses apps anything more than a rushed snack made in our home. The pasta with asparagus was fine; very delicious, but hardly worth the price. The pasta with Asiago was a meagre portion of stuffed pasta, but with a very fine sauce. Boring for the price; but some folks at Yonge & Eglinton will pay for anything. The service was adequate, the ambiance excellent. Visited September 2011

Fabulous all around

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous. This small place does it right! The food is absolutely excellent, and the wait staff are very helpful with a great attitude. Everyone in our party of six loved their dinners at Positano, plus the price was right, the service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. Being able to bring our own wine was a nice bonus and lessens the impact on the wallet. The other nice thing was that they weren't rushing us out the door the minute we were finished, but allowed us to linger and chat. No wonder the place is packed. A reservation is a must if you want a table at this popular spot.

a consistently great meal

We have been going to Positano for years and we always order the exact same thing. The waiters usually know our orders. Every time, without fail, we have a high quality meal that tastes consistently great. I have gone with other friends, parents etc, and everyone really enjoys their meals. Sometimes seating can be challenge because they are always busy, Tues-Sat. It is our go-to place for a great dinner that does not break the bank! We love it.
