King Hopkins Pet Hospital

Went there because they were the only vet that would take the appointment, unfortunately my pet had to be put down (this was the best decision for my pet). All the staff was absolutely amazing! I really loved everyone there, they were all just so nice and considerate. Even though I was there for something I didn’t want to be there for, all the staff there made it a bit better. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants good care for their pets.

I came here because I needed help with my dog and his foot, Dr. Black was amazing and cant thank her enough for her help. Staff was amazing

Critical: Reliability Took our cat in after vomiting and distress in early morning hours. 800 bucks later a diagnosis of mild kidney disease. Sent home after given antibiotics and pain reliever. Kidney care food and supplements. He seemed drugged all night long. One of the meds he was given we looked up said it was like a synthetic opioid. (Butorphanol is a morphinan-type synthetic agonist–antagonist opioid analgesic) Woke up early following morning to our cat DEAD next to our bed

rought our dog there last night with a broken nail. We were told that the nail needed to be removed which we were expecting. I asked if we could use an injectable anesthetic instead of sedation and I was told I was inhumane and given quite the glare. That wasnt nice to hear but agreed to sedation after feeling shamed for asking a question...I was then told that my 2 year old dog required a $190 blood test before they would sedate. My dog is healthy and has been to the vet in the past year. There

Best cat vets in Durham!

The previous reviewer obviously does not know much about vets. The previous owner is the most knowledgeable vet in Durham Region when it comes to cats. She still works as a vet there on Tuesdays and I don't hesitate taking our cat there. They have always been fair, kind, and ready to answer any questions. They do charge slightly more but that's because you get what you pay for. If you have pet health insurance they will complete the forms and fax them in to the insurer for you. A+++

Every time I visit this vet, I feel as though they do not care about the animal but look at them as more of a meal ticket. Their staff also makes me feel as though no one is a good pet owner if they do not live up to their high expectations. Now that they don't specialize in cats, there is really no reason to go there. But their attitude made this decision easy for me also.
