Ned cut a granite top for our vanity. He did a beautiful job and very quickly. Ned was great at responding to emails and did everything possible to ensure that we got exactly the vanity top that we wanted. The price was excellent. Hello, we moved to Portland Ontario, 2 years ago. ( 20 minutes from Smith Falls ). Tom has been looking after all our Locksmithing needs since, from re keying all our locks on our house ,after purchase, for our own peace of mind. I would like to note, that although I brought all of our locks for a re- key, Tom offered to come directly to our home, after hrs to do the job! @ no extra charge. My thoughts.. if you want a key cut for $1.50 go to C.T.C.

My cousin from Holland (owner of a travel agency) wanted a special menu with a capable Chef and a special place to celebrate his 50th Birthday on holiday in Canada. He found it in Slackoni's. The setting on the water was intimate and relaxed with music supplied by a classical guitarist. This was a multi-course meal and each was delivered with great presentation style and flavour. The group was delighted with anti-pasto dishes of vitello tomatol, smoked salmon, mini portabello mushrooms stuffed with shrimp and a mouth watering caprese salad. Moving inside to a cozy adjoining party room we were treated to a tasty seafood fettuccini pescatore. The main event was elk tenderloin in a maple bbq glaze. And for those who like desert, the ultimate..the zucotto "italian bomb cake" Amazing!
As per the menu, the wine was also chosen to compliment each course. It was a great event and everyone was thrilled. Our european guests, so used to eating in Paris were very impressed! Hats off to Slackoni's staff in delivering the service in keeping with the excellent food. Congratulations to all!

It is like stepping back in time..where else can you order a soup and a half sandwich so that you have room for that delicious butterscotch pie?
The place is extremely clean and the staff is courteous and caring. I try to get there at least once a month...certainly worth the drive from Ottawa!

My all time favorite thrift store/ salvage shop. As a cheap-o and a DIY crafter. I love the old home renovation part... essentially people who renovate bring all of the old materials (doors, extra floorboards railing posts, windows, sinks etc. here instead of dumping them. You can buy retro on the cheep. Perfect for DIYers who need random materials but are flexible. Everything is super well priced. My one regret at moving to Ottawa is I'm now farther away from this store! <3
