Seriously, best restaurant i have been to! Donatello on Elm in Toronto - the service was sooo good - made very special by our knowlwedgable server! The food - sublime! I highly recommend it! What a night!!! The lamb was perfect, and the seafood pasta in a pernod cream sauce to die for. Such wondeful hosts! OMG!They even wrote Happy Birthday Michelle in chocolate around my tiramisu. Took my boyfriend for his birthday lunch on 01 Feb and ordered off the Winterlicious menu. Each course was perfectly presented and just right, portion-wise. When dessert came, they had put a candle on his plate along with "Joyeux Anniversaire" written in chocolate along the edge. A very nice touch! I loved the atmosphere. Will go back to have the tuna tartare. I had some beef thing on lettuce - it was incredibly bland and for desert I had the eclair which was stale and the cream was hardened. The owner/manager also offered me fresh coffee as my coffee got warm while understanding the payment concern. They also made my order for banana chocolate chip brownie complimentary.
