Excellent dim sum. Limited menu though. The pan fried chow fun noodles were excellent. We had them put some XO (chinese) sauce and kick up the spice and they came out this delicious mix of yum! While the rest of what we had was fine, none of it really stood out. We did come back twice to buy some noodles to go and picnic'd in the park with them. Lire plus

LOVE! with so many options for Chinese in Victoria, you can't go wrong with Sampan Express. If you are looking for table side service, linen, candle light, may be a bottle of wine.....etc.. this would NOT be the place for you . They aren't the best but hey.... for around 10 bucks a head you get a decent meal , I had a 3 items combo from their hot table for just $9.25 + tax. my girlfriend Linda had a wonton soup......best wonton.....said Linda. Vraiment un incontournable si vous avez de jeunes enfants! La nourriture est délicieuse...la meilleure pizza, les meilleurs pâtes, tout fait avec des ingrédients locaux et biologiques. Parfait si vous avez des enfants allergiques aux arrachides, c'est un établissement qui n'utilise aucune noix dans sa cuisine. Il y a une petite cuisinette ou les enfants peuvent jouer pendant que papa et maman relaxent. Réservez une table à côté de l'aire de jeux pour surveiller vos petits sans avoir à vous déplacer. Les employés sont très chaleureux et adorent les enfants. C'est très bruyant et les enfants sont partout! C'est notre resto préféré pour sortir en famille à Vancouver. I visited West with a friend that had been there a couple of times before. The outside of the restaurant was very unassuming. You would have no idea that there was a fantastic restaurant inside. Parking may be an issue as it's a busy streetfront but they did seem to have valet. We sat at the bar and had cesars until our table was ready--made fresh with muddled tomato right in front of our eyes. The food was all amazing both in appearance and taste. REALLY good.
