The owners of this restaurant work hard to give us this marvelous dining experience. Every time I have eaten in this restaurant, I have been in bliss for the rest of the day and night. Every dish is meticulously prepared and served. It is one of the few restaurants in Victoria, where I can throw caution to the winds and enjoy everything. God bless the chef and the owner.

On the weekend I took the family to the Pacific Northwest Raptor Centre in Duncan. The kids (and adults) loved the flying bird demonstration! The bald eagle was so amazing. It is must see if you are on Vancouver Island. It is just north of Duncan so an easy drive from Victoria (or Nanaimo).

The Empress Hotel is the icon of Victoria. For that extra special getaway I would recommend a night at this iconic property, a horse drawn carriage tour and afternoon tea. You can't get more Victorian than that! But seriously, this is a beautiful property (the rooms are a little small) but the history, design & atmosphere make up for the lack of size. Ask about the haunted stories!

The Inn at Laurel Pointe is spectacular to say the least. The property is located between downtown and james bay right on the waterfront. I have attended many weddings here and you really cannot beat the picturesque scenery from outside the dining hall. Watch the sunset over the mountains from your delux room while enjoying a glass of champagne. This property is definitely in my top 3 for Victoria. Whether you are a local or visiting you will not regret spending an evening here.

I had my first dental appointment at Uptown Dental, and I had an amazing experience!
Dr Dhillon is very professional, gentle, and caring. He always did his best to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. He had a gentle touch even in the most difficult part of the filling work and very informative. It is hard to ignore holes in your teeth when he shows you on Tv screens after using his hi tech cameras.I have never seen my own teeth and there they were. Neat but more so I never felt cheated.

West shore transmission built me a bad transmission and would not fix the problem. I took it to Carl and Jason at sooke centre auto they found broken,damaged and used parts in my trans. They went over and above to get it done with a 3 week booked schedule. Got it done in 3 days and it is an awesome trans. Thanks for the service.

Went to CRD dump and was told I would be charged double for an uncovered load. It was all bagged, tied closed and tightly packed in the back of my truck. Yes, I didn't have a flimsy tarp flapping in the wind on my load. Ridiculous. Went straight to DL's no issues, now I always go to DL's! When asked the location of dried fruit, the associate (a woman I was meeting for the first time) led me to the main location. She had correctly pointed me there, but accompanied me, apparently to check that her information was correct, and on the way I mentioned I was looking for a specialty product (Medjool dates). She left me before my inspection showed that the product was not on aisle 8 but then caught up with me at the friendly checkout with my desired product. Wow--upped Costco big time.
