I am deathly afraid of the dentist. I don't like going and when I do, my anxiety goes through the roof. I need to be frozen, sedated, whatever it takes for me not to feel a thing. Well today was an experience that I wont forget. Dr Hicks & Dee are absolutely terrific. I was treated like gold, very patient, kind and I didn't even need freezing. Twice I have engaged this plumbing service: once to change taps and more recently. to to assist in bathroom and kitchen renovations. They were efficient, professional and demonstrated efficiency, especially during the kitchen renovation as counter company schedules can change on short notice. Highly recommend and I would hire them again, and have referred them to condo neighbours.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Parliament Pub, patio. I was there with my father and uncle on a visit to Ottawa. I was thrilled to be able to sit under a canopy of green, with a clear view of Parliament Hill, the Centennial Flame and of course the world famous Peace Tower!
The service was great, the waiter was quite attentive and even came over a few times to ask us how the food was and did we need anything?
We had bruschetta, which was very nice. Good fresh tomatoes and real cheese! Along with the bruschetta I had some creamy squash soup, it thick and hot, very flavourful! The salad was pretty with a nice vinagrette, the greens were crisp, as they should be!
After lunch we just sat around sipping our coffee and enjoying the magnificent view. Of course we kept an eye out for some of the pols who like to hang around - trying to come with ways of reducing our taxes I am sure! LOL
The coffee was good too, I am fussy about coffee and often don't like the tasteless drek so often served...
After a quick tour inside to look at the political memorabilia and caricatures we left to continue our visit.
I would recommend Parliament Pub to anyone who is visiting Ottawa. The is a good choice of well prepared and presented food for reasonable prices and they get it on to your table in time. Did I mention the view?

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Pilipenko after being a long time patient and employer of Dr. Chin. The bars were set high, but Dr. Chin did a fantastic job finding his replacement.
