Food is delicious but somewhat overpriced. Offer the general selection of breakfast and do take it one step further but this is reflected in the price. Overall delicious but only if willing to spend a bit more. The place is very busy on weekends.

Not sure what to expect but the food was amazing! All of us are Caribbean(descent or born) & tried some of the jerk items on the menu. All of the positive comments were compared to what we have eaten from our various islands & the chef(s) there would be welcomed to our islands anytime with open arms! Kudos to the authenticity of the jerk food items, well prepared & very tasty. The fries were seasoned-didn’t need ketchup or salt, mac n cheese had a nice crust on top & the burgers were fantastic!

But if you like an intimate, dark and cozy atmosphere, fantastic casual service, the crackle of vinyl while MJ, James Brown or the Boss rings out across the bar all while eating some of the best food you've ever tasted...The Whalesbone is calling your name. Perhaps the best selection of oysters I've ever seen (even rare Pacific oysters from BC and NZ), professional bartenders/oyster shuckers keeping you "hydrated", fed and entertained, and a well-trained & highly talented (and VERY fun) staff make The Whalesbone a great place for lunch, dinner or just drinks with your friends! Try it out if you've never been, I know you won't be dissappointed

Tout le monde connaît l'endroit à cause des "Obama Cookies" (qui sont d'ailleurs excellents - tout comme le reste de leurs biscuits), mais l'endroit offre aussi un éventail de pains des plus impressionnants. Atelier offers an interesting experience, with a blind, 13-course tasting menu and food created in a laboratory, not a traditional kitchen. Some examples of our tastings included flash-frozen coconut, flash-boiled bison, food prepared on an "anti-griddle", wafers made of dehydrated honey, etc.
Beyond that, I don't want to ruin the surprises, which really is what the experience is about.
Our party was there for about 4.5 hours. All 4 of us did the blind tasting and 2 of us also had the wine pairing option.
We were underwhelmed, despite going into the experience with great anticipation. The food was interesting but rarely tasty - only 4 or 5 of the 13 courses stand out as very tasty. The wine pairings were *very* poorly done, with only one truly successful pairing. For the price, we expected a far greater experience in terms of flavours and taste, although it was very interesting to experience familiar flavours in unusual preparations.
The service was attentive, friendly, informed, if sometimes a bit over-eager to impress.
A good experience to have but unfortunately not one that any of the 4 of us would repeat, and not one that I'd take a friend to for, say, a birthday treat.

My family came down from Montreal and Pembroke to celebrate the Christening of my granddaughter. We chose Tosca's because of the food and the service. The waiters were so friendly and paid attention to the needs of the clients. The food was delicious! We were a group of 24. I would definitely choose this venue as the place to host a party. Thank you for making this a nice experience for everyone.
