The Empress Hotel is the icon of Victoria. For that extra special getaway I would recommend a night at this iconic property, a horse drawn carriage tour and afternoon tea. You can't get more Victorian than that! But seriously, this is a beautiful property (the rooms are a little small) but the history, design & atmosphere make up for the lack of size. Ask about the haunted stories!

This hotel is pure luxury.. great location ann great value for money. Our double room was huge, comfortable and clean. Only the toilet was a tiny, but clean adn new.

Amazing experience. they accomodated us with our infant, took our stroller in the coat check, and made sure my allergies were attended to. They checked about 6 times to make sure I was ok and no item which I was allergic to didn't make it to my plate. They gave us a full banquette because we had our son with us. Amazing decor, and the food was off the chain!

The pasta at Old Spaghetti Factory is good to eat and you get decent value for the money. The pasta can tend to be ordinary from the perspective of the selections but they put together good food and they offer a fun atmosphere and decor that makes them a good family restaurant for when you are downtown with your family. I just visited John's Place for the first time after hearing many positive things about it. My friends were right – this place is amazing. I tried the tortellini, and my girlfriend tried the lasagna. Both were generous portions and had the best flavor I have ever found in a family restaurant like this. Great atmosphere too. I highly recommend John's Place.
