We ordered delivery on their opening day and were really impressed. The order arrived quickly, the food was hot and fresh and the flavours were fantastic. There is a new player in the Thai restaurant business in Ottawa.

I've been eating here off and on for about twenty years and the food is consistently excellent.
My one complaint (perhaps more of an observance, really) relates to how noisy it can get with a full house. Once upon a time, they used to have a carpeted dining room but changed it to tile about ten years ago. Needless to say, sounds are no longer muffled.

I go there very often with my family. We all love the food. Obviously, Chinese food in Ottawa pales in comparison to what Hong Kong offers but Cafe Orient's food is the best I can find that reminds me of home. The pricing is pretty decent considering one main dish can be shared among 2 people along with a small appetizer.
