We hit Black Forg last night before the Lions game and loved their vibe. The atrium that provides over half of the seating is ideally situated at the foot of Cambie Street to provide views of the North Shore and the workd going by on Water Street. They offer a great selection of draught and bottled beer and offered a take on a Snake Bite that they should put on the menu and call the Black Frog...who knew that adding Ribena would taste so good! The wings that were hotter than hot were exactly as advertised and really tasty! The only concerns we had were with the mains we had. The steak sandwich was a bit tough to chew as a sandwich but went better when I ate it open faced. The curry and chips were kind of bland and would probably be better as an Indian curry than a Thai curry. We will try other items on our next visit. Our concerns on the food aside, we will be back because it was such a great little spot. Head over to the Black Frog next time you're looking for a fun spot to chill! Lire plus

The restaurant has a colourful decor, friendly staff and overall a cheerful atmosphere. They say they cook authentic Malaysian food; well I can verify this, however, I can say that I love every dish on their menu. They were voted 'Best Other Asian Restaurant' in 2008 and 'Best South East Asian Restauranr' in 2009. I think this alone says a lot. Lire plus

Be extremely cautious with these restaurants in their billing. I have found the stores to 1)charge more than the price posted in the store 2)round up on non-cash sales. Rounding up can only be done in Canda with CASH payment. Not with debit or credit. Ask for FRESH PATTY as the patties are cooked in a bunch and sit in a tray until served. For under $7, a full plate of delicious food! Chicken shawarma plate was exploding with flavor! I was hungry when we got there, and the serving size was generous! Like any of the Joey chain locations they have great food and the ambiaatmosphere nce is great, especially the waitstaff's looks. The service is like any other restaurant of the chain and they really care. The only thing is there are so many better Joeys in the city. Just becue we are in Burnaby does't mean we don't like to see the young Joey ladies. I mean it is an insult that they provide less attractive women just because we are in a suburb. Burnaby is as vital as Vancouver. Anywy the food is good and I suggest you try their burger and some spirits. Lire plus
