We wandered around Ottawa for an hour before randomly selecting Fat Tuesday's. We heard the piano playing and just had to go see what it was like. The restaurant looked great and the piano was excellent background music. We started our meal with the alligator and it did not disappoint. Afterwards we got the proscuitto wrapped chicken. They had a slight issue with some of the chicken being undercooked, however, it was quickly fixed when it was brought to their attention. When we received the cooked meal we found that it was definitely worth the wait. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Despite the small problem we would recommend this restaurant to friends and family and will probably go back. Lire plus

The restaurant has been renovated, the worn furniture and decor replaced with more modern look, very nice atmosphere. The food is generally excellent. They have a large covered patio for outdoor eating. Surprisingly they also have a classy banquet hall downstairs for large family events so its not necessary to go out of your way. Lire plus

My husband and I went for lunch following the Carleton Place Triathlon. My husband got a free meal with his tri registration. He had a spicy chicken wrap with cold soup. He loved it. I had the veggie smash burger with sweet potato fries. It was the best veggie burger I've ever had. It came home made mustard, relish and ketchup on the side (all were amazing). No long winded review here just want to state the facts. Excellent food, service is great, atmosphere is good but not great considering its in a parking lot. But take note that the bathrooms just reek, I was there 2 yrs earlier and the one thing I remembered was how smelly the mens bathroom was, well it hasn't changed. Its such a turnoff because it only makes me wonder if management has no control or cares less about sanitary conditions then I wonder how the kitchen is maintained.
