Customer service on both the sales and service side were beyond expectations. The staff were knowledgeable and prompt with answers to the questions I had on purchasing a new vehicle and the service required. Dan was very informative about the vehicle I was purchasing and supportive throughout the process. The service side was exceptional as well. I absolutely love this place! Although the atmosphere of this restaurant is rather dark, gloomy, and sketchy, they have one of the best steaks and lobster in town. Usually we order bbq ribs and potato fries for appetizers. These appetizers are usually mediocre. As for the entree we always order the rib eye steak as well as 2lb-4lb lobster. The rib eye steak at House of chan is one of the best steaks I have ever had. The steak at House of Chan melts in your mouth as you eat it. This type of steak should only be eaten if you enjoy the natural taste of steak, and are expecting no additional added flavours. The lobster is usually just as good as the steak. They offer you a rich butter as a dip. I really enjoy this dish as well. Lire plus

My boyfriend and I have visited Akasaka a few times now and have enjoyed every dining experience here. Although the owner is Chinese, he has studied in Japan and the chefs are Japanese. We agree that they serve up the best rolls in Richmond Hill. During our most recent visit here a couple of weeks ago, we enjoyed their 10 tation roll (unbelievably delicious lobster roll deep fried!), Crown Royal Roll (fois gras, eel, caviar & gold glitter), Super Rainbow (soft shell crab), and a few pieces of nigiri. Some of their rolls look questionable ('Thai' Passion, 'Korean' kim-chee roll), and being of Japanese descent, I avoided these. Thai/Korean twists should not be mixed or confused with Japanese rolls - surely they serve these to cater to Koreans and people who enjoy Thai food. We strictly stick to their rolls (and make an exception to some nigiri). Not every Japanese restaurant does well with bringing in top quality sashimi. The waiter did not bring us our dry noodle sticks which they bring to every table at no cost. We had to ask and later remind them twice. My boyfriend ordered us the green tea creme brulee for dessert as he enjoys it very much. The serving is very small, however it is quite delicious. Our bill came to approx $78 (no alcohol). The rolls are not cheap, but you pay to get top quality here. All the rolls we had were excellent - among my favourites were the 10 tation & Crown Royal rolls. If you've had them, you will understand what I mean. They are killer! The teppanyaki here is also very popular, as evidenced by the occupied tables. We however don't do teppanyaki, as you pay for the show. The food is not spectacular and if you're coming to a Japanese restaurant which is well-known for its rolls, its these items which one should stick with. Lire plus
