My family and I go for breakfast here whenever we get the chance, be it Mother's Day or just a Sunday morning (or for my friends and I, the morning after shopping the Black Friday sales in the states!)
The waitresses are all very friendly and attentive. The restrooms are very clean, and you can actually see the kitchen from some tables in the diner where you can see the chefs working hard and in a clean and efficient manner. When food is up, it's brought to you promptly; you won't be receiving any cold breakfasts here!
The food is amazing, and you get great portion sizes for your money. The value is great here.
I could rave about every breakfast item they have since I've basically tried them all. My favourite thing to order though is the breakfast for 2, for $14. Me and my boyfriend get this whenever we go, and you get SO MUCH FOOD. You get ham, bacon, sausages, toast, pancakes or french toast, eggs and home fries (HOLY crap). We can hardly finish it all, even my 200 pound bodybuilder boyfriend hahaha.
I also like how when you order orange juice they bring it to you in a bottle and a cup on the side with ice.
And the coffee is greaaat too!
Best breakfast in Windsor, hands down!
If I had to choose going out for dinner anywhere, or going for breakfast at Uptown - Uptown gets my vote!
PS: The decor is just wonderful and homey feeling and it's all very clean. I like the vintagey clown statues they have in there too :)

Just had dinner at the bistro and it was fantastic. The service was great and the waitress was very helpful and answered all the questions we had about the menu and drinks. She was very personable and made the evening very enjoyable. The food was fantastic. We had the crab and shrimp cakes and bruschetta for appetizers which were great. All four of our entrees were hot, flavourful and delicious. We had two pasta dishes, lamb chops and a chicken dish which were all delightful. We were able to substitute sides without a problem or fuss from the waitress. We also had two desserts which were also fantastic. I have been to the bistro now four times and very time I have had something different and it has always been great. No complaints about anything. Great evening and atmosphere with a fantastic meal. Would definitely return.
