My son and I ordered the Russell Burger & my daughter and wife ordered a Quich & Chicken Breast dinner. Food was well perpared and good quality. They used real cheese on the burger and potatoes weren't rozen. Excellent portion. Only con is the atmosphere and the lighting.

First time at this place. We always like to try it because of the ship in the front. ....hehehe. and we were not disappointed. The seafood was so fresh and the service was good. We could not ask for more.

I came to this restaurant for my father's birthday and the food was incredible. It is an authetic portuguese restaurant on James street in Hamilton. For an appetizer we had the Bruchetta, which is baked pizza style bread topped with tomato, onion and garlic. Yumm! For the dish I ate the Filete com arroz, which is fish filete with seafood rice. The dish cost $17 but was really cheap considering the amount of food that was provided. I will definetely return to this restaurant and recommend anyone to try this place. They have a large menu with many options. If you havent tried portuguese food or just love the food, you wont be disappointed at the Wild Orchid.

My friends and I decided to visit Cambridge for an out-of-town getaway. We are all admitted food snobs (one is a chef), so we perused menus and reviews online before heading out (we're from the GTA). It was pretty busy on Friday night so I am glad we made reservations.
We arrived and were seated by a very accommodating host (who we found out later was an owner), and served by one of the most pleasant servers I've ever encountered (perhaps his name was Josh?). Every single employee at that restaurant was happy to be at work, which may not sound important, but it is and is one of the gages I use when I'm dining out. My husband and I both worked in restaurants for years, and happy staff says a lot about the owners, chef and overall customer experience that the server is trying to sell. Josh spoke highly of the owner as well as proudly explained the food and the creativeness of the chef and his menu. The food was fresh, creative and delicious. We were really delighted.
It wasn't a five-star dining experience (but you are not going in expecting that), rather, it is a twist on pub fare that will leave you pleasantly surprised. We also enjoyed that the restaurant was not 'full of itself', the staff, chef and owners were humble and grateful for any compliments and made us feel welcome and appreciated as diners at their restaurant.
My friends and I were sold from the moment we walked in. So much so, that we went back for lunch the next day (it was a no-brainer) and the chef came out to say hi to us and thank us for coming back!
We cannot say enough great things about our experience there. I strongly encourage anyone reading this to visit Cafe 13 and enjoy their great food and hospitality.

Last weekend we were a party of 21 in the small function room beside the dining room. Our group was all ages from 18 - 80. Everyone ordered something different off of the menu from the sea food platter to the turkey dinner. Food was great; well prepared, hot, service was friendly. We were all very pleased. I've been here for dinner, and breakfast twice before - thank you for a great night - we'll be back :)

Another delicious meal at Umberto's last night, with great service, a quiet table, and an unpretentious atmosphere. A side note, but important, they hit just the right note with the background music. Smooth jazz at just enough volume to enjoy. It was fairly quiet for a Thursday night, but the other half dozen or so tables were also filled with diners expressing their appreciation for a good meal.
Beef carpaccio was, like all the dishes, the perfect size portion. My husband and I shared it well as the bruschetta, which was a little too cheesy for me but perfect for him. The chef salad is a great mix of greens and veg with a nice vinaigrette. The ostrich and kangaroo - what can I say - grilled/sauteed just beautifully and mouthwateringly delicious. The Shiraz reduction was a very nice accompaniment to the kangaroo. Both entrees were served with roasted veg and potatoes, nicely seasoned, as well as a charming little fresh vegetable relish/slaw on radicchio. Shared a bottle of 2009 Rosemount Cab Shiraz, chosen from the small but interesting wine list, proved a good choice. We lingered over tiramisu and flourless chocolate hazelnut cake, preferring the tiramisu. The "Umberto" specialty coffee was a lovely finish to the meal. Ingredients were fresh, attention was paid to presentation, and the service was very attentive yet not intrusive. We will definitely be back. (I will try the seafood pasta next time - 3 of the table of 6 near us ordered it as their favorite)

What a nice little spot! The food is well prepared and everything on the menu looks appetizing. They have a different fish special every day and it is always very good. On our last visit I ordered off the menu and I was not disappointed at all.. I had the veggie wrap and instead of fries I had it with the taco soup, and it was very good.
We will be back for sure!

The food is fabulous and the service second to none. Bread, water and wine replaced when needed and you're made to feel very confortable. My husband and I have been to Boo's twice. On both occassions we had a wonderful time and meal (as well as wine).
The server was extremely gracious and considerate. He came to check on our meal a couple of times, but was not intrusive whatsoever (allowing for an intimate and romantic evening).
The food was delicious. The servings were of good size (in our opinion) -- I was very full when I left, as was my husband. We had crab cakes for an appetizer - these were rich in real crab meat with little filler. As for mains, I had a salmon dish (the special) and my husband had Boo's signature dish (a steak). Ingredients were fresh, and there was a nice serving of vegetables (also flavourful and well done).
It is a quiet atmosphere and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We will definitely go back.

Love this place! My husband and I were looking for good fish and chips and we were quite satisfied. I dont really care what the place looks like on the inside as long as it is clean. They have a sign saying the health department has been there and checked the place out and they passed so thats alright in my books. I think some people are a little dramatic on here. I thought the portion size was perfect, So did my husband who is a large eater. How much food does one person really need? it is a bit pricey but it's worth it for a treat once in a while!

We enjoyed the patio during the Mill Race Folk Festival. Lovely cold beer and sangria. Our server apologized for being slow, but we honestly didn't notice that. The festival made the place busier than usual but we felt very well attended to.
The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. One of the few places in downtown Galt that serves up delicious food at affordable prices.

Christien's restaurant was a very fun experience. The food and service were both better then expected for the volume of customers there on a friday night (may 25). We made reservation and got exactly what we asked for. Service was prompt and startes made it the table less then 15 minutes after ordering. Everyones food was well cooked and brought out all at the same time.

Koto sushi is fantastic. I work nearby and went her after with some office buds instead of the usual shoeless joes burger. The sushi is absolutely phenomenal, probably the best sushi ive had in Ontario. Service is fast. I would recommend all you can eat. they give you so much variety and it just keeps on coming. I definitely plan on coming back again and would recommend this to couples or groups of friends looking for something new.

This location is one of the best in the city. The portion sizes they give you are well worth it. They deliver and when they do, the food is still extremely hot when it gets to your door to the point where you have to wait to eat it, which is amazing! We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Simcoe last night and this was recommended as the best breakfast in town. It was a good breakfast but didn't live up to that recommendation. Coffee was very good; service was very quick. Very quick but our order was still served good. The waitress was very good about getting it heated up when we explained it was cold. Also delivered extra toast. Toast was very good...made from homemade bread. Peameal was very tasty but cut way too thin.
