Prompt, professional tree removal… everything done from the air with scissor arm and cherry picker truck...sawyer and groundcrew very safety conscious... Face screens, hardhats, ear protectors... had a large, scary 60-foot tree and they removed it beautifully. Branches chipped... blocks cut to manageable sizes, stacked neatly if requested, or they will haul them away if you prefer. Yard and alleyway raked, debris all removed. Excellent dim sum. Limited menu though.
The pan fried chow fun noodles were excellent. We had them put some XO (chinese) sauce and kick up the spice and they came out this delicious mix of yum!
While the rest of what we had was fine, none of it really stood out. We did come back twice to buy some noodles to go and picnic'd in the park with them.

This store opened recently as part of the revitalization of the area south of the Cambie Bridge. This is an interesting concept for the store that brought us the sprawling big box stores of the 'burbs that we have come to know and love. This store is on 1.5 levels on a smaller footprint and offers almost anything you can imagine for the do-it-yourself-er in an urban setting. In fact its the "almost" in the previous statement that costs this store a 5. It is true that they offer almost anything but if you want to do any larger projects involving copious amounts of lumber, landscaping stone, plants, soils and other landscaping materials you will still need to visit one of the big stores. All that aside, if you are looking for anything else this is a great store to hit, particularly given their location. My child and I particularly enjoy the monthly (every second Saturday) children's workshops where the kids get to build a fun, wood-based project. Afterward there are a myriad of options to pursue such as a walk at the sea-wall around False Creek or a hot chocolate at Starbucks. Check it out next time you're in the area and you will leave impressed!
