My husband and I were at the Cross Eyed Giraffe Cafe yesterday for the grand re-opening. It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. Our hamburgers were juicy and the serving sizes were more than ample. We will definitely return for the freshly baked pies, or perhaps a coffee and a cinnamon roll. We visited Applebees Sunridge on a Sunday around 4:3pm. It seemed busy but we were seated quickly. Our server was pleasant & got our order correct. The appetizers came through quickly & were delicious. Our steak meals were cooked as requested & other 2 meals were perfect! We chose from the 3 meals for $30 1 appetizer 2 main & 3 for $35 again 1 appetizer 2 main. Fantastic value & great food & service. Pleasant atmosphere & nicely decorated. Our appitizer of the southewestern Egg rolls were excellent and different, great dipping sauce. The soup of the day is homemade and different each day and excellent. They have weekly specials which the stuffed trout was and a side dish of garlic mashed potaotes are really garlicky and great. The wild boar burger is made with fresh meat and cooked to order, the french fries are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, yummy. The Banana Changa is to die for and so is the Cookies and cream cake and could be enjoyed by 2. The restaurant is upstairs, only 18 yrs or older and the patios have views of the mountains. There are Live Bands some nights and dancing. Big Screen T.V.'s keep you up to date on sports if you're not enjoying the patio views of the mountains and pedistarians below. This is no way a Mexican restaurant but a cowboy/western restaurant with Buffalo burgers and Wild Boar burgers. The bar is excellent with drink specials with a twist. Can't go to Banff without going to Wild Bills!!!!! Lire plus
