I accidentally found Valentin's salon on a rainy July day in 2010. That changed my hair forever. No one else has touched it ever since. She is fantastic and even pros will stop me and compliment me. She is passionate about her work and it shows in the results. I currently live in Portland, OR and will travel to see her. She knows colour, texture, everything hair! She is a gem and I can't recommend her and sing her praises enough. I always leave looking beautiful! I love Valentin and her work!

Very satisfied with my color. This sweet lady (not the owner) did my hair, which was a nightmare. Needed color correction in a bad way, (my blond was turning orange). I was really nervous, but she took her time, reassured me and in the end she was right! I LOVE my new ash blonde! Used the 50% discount for first time customer, so the price was good. A little concerned about cost when I go back however as the 50% wont apply. Will still return however. A good hair dresser is hard to find.

Walking through the aisles of this place is like taking a trip around the world. You really get a bit of everything from international foodie favourites to local goodies. Although a lot of people complain about the price, I personally think you really get what you pay for. All foods in the cold case and hot bar are actually made in house rather than most supermarkets where they try to get away with frozen goods.

The product quality is consistently outstanding, exceeding my expectations every time. One can find all kinds of teas, from Wulong to Mucha, from China to Japan to Korea. There are many spices from all over the world - Mideast - East Asia. Their seafood is fresh and clean. Sweets, vegetables, and fruits are good quality with a fair price. Stong's is another example of what a grocery store should be. Mostly food, lots of quality produce and fresh bakery and butcher selection and great service. I gather at one time there were several of these stores in the Lower Mainland and this store is the last of their kind. Thank goodness. A great place to buy all kinds of staples and also some hard to find items that aren't carried at major chains. Stong's is what the neighbourhood supermarket should be and their constant stream of customers is a testament to the quality and excellent customer service on offer.
