Went for dinner and drinks on a date and loved it. The atomosphere is very seductive and romantic. We found easy cheap parking at the TELUS convention centre and enjoyed a nice evening walk down Stephen Avenue on the way to the Restaurant (especially pretty during Christmas). The food was delicious. It was a great, romantic evening out that leaves you craving to go back.

I have eaten in most restaurants downtown, and one day decided to try Abruzzo.
First impression was that is it a little too old style - decor was quite old fashioned. But over all nice and quiet. The food though makes up for short coming in the decor department.
I can't say that they were as good as home made italian food, but came pretty darn close. Overall I would highly recommend this place.

I want to go back, heck I didn't want to leave. I loved the atmosphere, the service was perfect, the food was to die for, I wish I had enough room left for dessert. The portions were more than reasonable...perfectly paired wines to food, this place didn't miss a beat, the perfect evening out!
Thanks to the all who made our evening out an experience that we will never forget!

Servicing the business sector of downtown Calgary, West Restaurant is a great place to have lunch with colleagues or clients. The atmosphere is very modern and populated with business clientele, the service is quick, the pricing is reasonable, and the food is delicious.
The only challenge I had was that I didn't make a reservation for lunch, and at 11:30 it was very busy and our table of 3 just about did not get in. There isn't any signage in ScotiaBank (as of posting May 21, 2010) as to where to go, at least I couldn't see it, so you have to make your way to the 2nd floor to enter the restaurant.
Overall, I would visit West restaurant again.
