We order from here regularly, we have only ordered the Thai items a couple of times. WE LOVE THE HAKKA dishes. It is very difficult to find any good hakka restaurants in the area especially oshawa/whitby area. Our regular dishes are the: -Bombay chicken -any of the chili or manchurian chicken or beef or shrimp (the shrimp dishes are a little smaller than the chicken or beef )but very tasty. -pad thai/ hakka special chow mein We really like the fact that they have come to know us so when we ask for extra spicy it is extra spicy, never been disappointed. If you are into this type of food then it is definately worth a try. We don't eat in because of our kids but the atmosphere seems very pleasant when we have picked up food. I Lire plus

The Bruce is a great casual spot to go when visiting Kincardine. The patio has a splendid view of Lake Huron (check out all the sailboats on club night). The wings are wonderful, the service pretty danged good, and the owner-operators are conscientious and courteous. Went there for lunch today ,Tuesday Sept 11th ,on entering the restaurant immediately noticed how exceptionally clean and tidy it was ,at the time it was easy to get a table as it had just gone 12 in an hour people were waiting for a table it was busy .we had the buffet it was one of the best Ive had in ages food was hot and plentiful and delicious from the first bite to the last .it is worth the drive from Owen sound Lire plus

We could not believe our luck. This cozy little place had all the ambiance of some of the best restaurants in Europe we've visited.Their wine list was really good with some very affordable choices. The food ranged from the best steak I have ever tasted to a delicious Thai dish enjoyed by several of our friends that contained the largest tiger shrimp I have ever seen. The Chef himself visited our table personally on three occasions to answer questions. Very unique place. We strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Kincardine. Lire plus

I just wanted to share my wonderful experience that my husband and daughter and I had at the European Bakery. We had a great lunch , the service was exceptional, the server was so nice to us. It was very busy ,but we had our lunch in no time. The soup was a home made and the ruebans amazing. I was so impressed that they offered a great Gluten-Free menu Breakfast and lunch as my Daughter has celiac disease it made our dining experience so much better.to top it off the atmosphere was really nice, everyone was very happy! we ended up taking dessert to go, as well as a gluten free dessert for my daughter!also buying a loaf of fresh bread. I love this place! It's a small store front family restaurant. As we walked in the door, on the left, is a huge fish shaped menu, virtually from floor to ceiling and hand printed in chalk. It took several minutes to read but was well worth the time. We were greeted by the proprietor, Darcy, who showed us to our table. We talked for a bit and discussed the menu as she described her featured items. I asked about the chips (french fry style). She uses fresh, hand cut, russet potatoes deep frying them to a shade darker than golden brown. These are the chips I have only dreamed of, since childhood, so many years ago. (Today, almost all are frozen, yuck.) The white fish is from the deep cold waters of the Northern Great Lakes No bones about it. The caesar salad was crisp with a tasty dressing. My double order of fish and chips were good for two but perfect for me. No regrets! The cold slaw was finely chopped and delicious Although this is an older building, the washrooms were clean and tidy. We were only in the Wiarton area a total of four days but we liked the fish and chips so much, we went back for a second dinner. Lire plus

I've been to several all you can eat sushi restaurants from Toronto to Hamilton and a few places in between--Futogenki is by far the best I've experienced. The food was very fresh and piping hot--and it was delicious! They also have a large selection of made to order Chinese food, which is included in the all you can eat menu. I went to this place not too long ago, i absolutely loved my poutine. But my burger was not what i was expecting. One of the staff saw i wasn't too happy with my order as i was leaving. This gentleman actually ran down the street in mid winter in a t-shirt to catch up with me , so he could refund me for my burger. I thought this was spectacular. I visited Sgt. Pepper's in AJAX this weekend with my husband and after reading the reviews I was really worried. WOW, were we surprised! Perhaps there were changes made since the last reviews were posted: we had a friendly server who was very attentive throughout our meal, brought drinks quickly and was able to remember everything about our order and that of another table's without writing anything down. We had the Calamari, Veggie Samosas, Burger with Fries and Steak Sandwhich with Peppercorn sauce. The calamari was lightly breaded and crispy without being oily, my samosas while not authentically "indian" had a really nice potato and veggie filling, served with sweet chili sauce. My husband said his burger and fries were really good. I think a good test of a kitchen is how they handle something like a steak sandwhich. Mine was not the run of the mill piece of shoe leather I've had at other places. This was a tender juicy piece of beef that was actually cooked how I'd asked for it, served on a not-too-garlicky ciabatta bun and the fries were great. I'm not sure what people expect out of the decor of your average burger join, but the booths were fine and the whole restaurant and both bathrooms were really clean. Overall, I'd say that this was a really good experience and I'm sure both my husband and I will return to this location. Lire plus
