Stong's is another example of what a grocery store should be. Mostly food, lots of quality produce and fresh bakery and butcher selection and great service. I gather at one time there were several of these stores in the Lower Mainland and this store is the last of their kind. Thank goodness. A great place to buy all kinds of staples and also some hard to find items that aren't carried at major chains. Stong's is what the neighbourhood supermarket should be and their constant stream of customers is a testament to the quality and excellent customer service on offer. Lire plus

I have to say, when I find I have Sunny as my checkout clerk I smile. He's a great guy with a (sunny) disposition. His line is always the longest and he get's his job done expertly and in good time. You have to remember when going here that this is a wine tasting room, not a place to have dinner. The wine list is imaginative and approachable. The service on a good night is excellent, on a bad night is so-so, but the staff have always been very helpful with the wine choices, pairings, and flight recommendations. The food is charcuterie, not full meals. Use this place to meet up for a pre-dinner drink, or to end off the night with some wine appreciation. Lire plus

We chose this location as it served both brunch and lunch options on Sundays and it takes reservation through OpenTable. We tried the breakfast manouche, lamb sausage with poached eggs and lamb kafta. Both were very good and flavorful. Their daily juice special was made with fresh ginger and it gave it a nice kick. The service was good and the lower level of the restaurant was full. Lots of pay street parking else park a few blocks away where there are no meters in the residential surroundings. Lire plus

Going along Broadway I have noticed the restaurant many times and finally decided to drop in for brunch to give it a go. We sat outside, we didn't mind waiting for a table there. Service was fine and the food came fairly soon. I had an excellent smoked ham benedict which came with cubed fries and a very fresh salad. Lire plus

The restaurant is located just shy of chinatown on main in a less traffic area with plenty of access to street parking. We tried their spicy tuna belly roll, fried chicken wings and crispy market fish which was very moist inside We also had their chocolate cake and ovalatine creme brulee which was pretty good and so Asian.
