Silver Star Auto - I have been using Silver Star to repair all my vehicles for almost 20 years now. THEY ARE HONEST. They do not BS people. They are willing to cater to unique needs of a customer (like present an alternatives, if possible). The staff is very experienced with everyone being more or less there at the start and still there with the added apprentice once in a while (or worker - whatever - I assume).
These guys remembered my name after being away for years - that is impressive in on its own; it means they are smart and have good memories, which I think would serve a mechanic well; and apparently does.
When a LARGE Canada wide "Tire" company mechanic told me I needed new ball joints or my wheels would fall off within a month; even though I was there to get my brakes looked at, and quoted me prices over $1000. I HAD to get a second opinion. I just chanced upon Silver Star and was told the ball joints were fine. They lasted longer than 10 years - longer than the truck actually. Also, the brake job came in around $100 only (but 20 years ago), because they only did what was necessary, not tacking on new rotors, or the rear brakes (which had lots of life left at the time).
They will show you an old part they removed if you ask and even point out how it was defective.
They are professional and friendly enough - but not "Salesmen" - I have never been pressured to buy this or that. Try them and see!

Drove out to Trades today to have a check-up and oil change. My mechanic, Terry, is the best! He checked everything over carefully and did more than he needed to service my Jeep. Reasonable prices too! I won't trust my Jeep to anyone else going forward. Well worth the nice drive for the friendly and competent service! Highly recommended.

We bought a vehicle in October 2014. We have never been treated like this before at a car dealership. Everyone was pleasent and cheerful. There was no PUSHY ATTITUDE from the salesman. We were actually treated like a person rather than another vehicle sold on the monthly list as at other dealerships. Every car we test drove was washed and impecably clean. When we were there the dealership was very busy and this feat alone was remarkable. Overall it was a wonderful buying experience.

I had Russ build a custom fitted travel cover for my boat and it fits perfect. After a couple trips with the cover on I felt we needed to make a few adjustments, Russ was able to take care of that right away I am very happy with the cover. I called and was able to get in right away the same day I had a chip that cracked right away and they were able to fix it. Due to the weather the crack progressed but they were able to stop it and got me in immediately when I called. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back when it’s time to replace my windshield
