My family and I wanted to send our support and love to my sister and nephew in a tangible way that lasted throughout their stay at Toronto General. The colourful bounty of fruit and snacks in the Royal Fruit Basket raised their spirits and sustained them. We were heartened to be able to reach out from Manitoba and make a difference for them. This restaurant has excellent sushi. The fish is so fresh and very high quality. The ratio of fish to rice is perfect. I've been eating there since it opened and their quality and great service have been consistent since day 1. Our "go to" meal for two is the medium Sushi Moriawase which is a 30 piece assortment of sushi and maki, a small salad and miso soup. I find the value for the money very good at $30 for two (+ tax and tip). I'm thankful they opened so close to home so I can get a good sushi fix whenever I need one!

No doubt their dark roast coffee is some of the best. But this location is very small, busy and cramped. And the parking situation....difficult. Usually finding a seat is next to impossible. Balancing your purchases while waiting to add cream and sugar, a challenge. I will say the staff have always been pleasant to deal with, friendly and efficient. The selection of treats also good, if not a little over priced. Last trip in I bought a hot chocolate for a friend.... good. Another friend tells me the tea selection, also good.
So all in all, if the craving for coffee is great enough, take out at this location is the way to go.
