I was skeptical at first because they ranked so high in reviews and this place was located in Delta/Surrey but I must say I was really impressed. I think Ive been to all the Japanese restaurants along the Westcoast and Akari is absolutely top notch. Their black rice specialty rolls and tempura were especially memorable. We went on a saturday night and ordered their more popular dishes (which was recommended by the server). The ingreidents were very fresh and the food tasted great. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It's a small mom and pops restaurant...with really a little something for everyone. The food came out quick and the portions are huge! You really get your bang for your buck. Definately go again and try some of the other other dishes. The menu is very big and comes with pictures too. Would definately recommend to my friends.
