Gallagher's Coffee Bar & Café in Port Moody's Newport Village is the kind of friendly, inclusive community-focused café that attracts a loyal local following that keeps the atmosphere buzzing (caffeine kick notwithstanding) throughout the day.

Julia Kim, the café's second owner, bought the business from founder Brian Gallagher, the coffee bar's namesake, while maintaining quality products the discerning locals and long-time customers have valued since 2002. Among her highly trained staff, manager Katie O'Neill helps oversee the busy day-to-day operations, keeping things running as smooth as their fair-trade coffee from North Van roaster Bean Around the World.

    Fabulous coffee bar for hanging out

    Really great little gem in Port Moody. Has such a local feel. Big patio, and quite a large seating area inside. The coffee is pretty good, as are the snacks! Lots of non-caffinated drinks as well. Definitely a place to settle in with a newspaper, coffee and snack and just chill out for awhile!
