If you're looking for fine dining with great service and a relaxing atmosphere in Toronto, you'll need to look up to the sky and search for Canoe. Food: The menu is simple yet it's high quality and well prepared dishes with great wine and drinks pairing. We decided to go with an app, an entree, and dessert - although the dishes didn't surprise us, they still met our expectations of high quality. The real treats were the Oyster Boy's Finest and Pan Seared Quebec Foie Gras, each being a great start to our meal. Although it was great, it didn't end with a bang. The meal kept its pace right through to dessert. Service: The wait staff were very attentive and accomodating. Our server was attentive to our needs, and was engaged without being too involved in our dining experience. I was impressed by the service from everyone this evening! Atmosphere: I would definitely recommend trying to reserve a table by the window. The place is beautiful with the simple and modern decor, though the view of the city is an added bonus to your meal. It's definitely worth the visit if you're looking to dine in the sky with a great meal, but be prepared to empty out your wallet, because this place isn't cheap. Lire plus

The service here is great. I'm obsessed with the Singaporean-style slaw to the point where I've drove across the city just to get it as take out. The portion is great to save for a quick bite the next day. The tables are a bit close together in the room off the main room but the attentiveness of the servers makes up for it! Lire plus

How does this place have such a middling rating? Is it simply THE place to watch a game. Any game. As great as the setting is for watching sports, for me the food and beer selection are the heroes. The "wing king" chef earns his title, and the range of beers wipes the floor with Bier Markt. Yes, it's busy on game nights. The inside of this restaurant is quintessential diner. The lady behind the bar was very friendly as was our server. The food came out quickly, hot, and fresh even though it was a busy time of the day. For the price, the sandwich was a little small but given the location so near to Yonge & Dundas I suppose higher prices should be expected. The huevos rancheros came with 2 eggs, a generous amount of black beans, avocado, and chorizo sausage as well as a delicious corn muffin. Seriously, best restaurant i have been to! Donatello on Elm in Toronto - the service was sooo good - made very special by our knowlwedgable server! The food - sublime! I highly recommend it! What a night!!! The lamb was perfect, and the seafood pasta in a pernod cream sauce to die for. Such wondeful hosts! OMG!They even wrote Happy Birthday Michelle in chocolate around my tiramisu. Tonight’s dinner was amazing! Zaina (sorry if spelled wrong) was an amazing friendly, professional and down to earth server. Truly a pleasant night! The atmosphere on the patio was great! We took our two daughters to the Keg this evening and the food was very good. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides were all warm and everything was very flavourful. The kids menu, colouring items and special details (fruit/veg right away) made it a great family location. Our only issue was the service. We spent a lot of time waiting for the server to come check on us and the kids started getting whiny. Lire plus

We went there for nice dinner during winterlisious 2012. Overall restaurant is very busy but cozy and romantic. Our server was running around in hurry and as a result during entire evening mixed up who ordered what, since it was only two of us it was ok to switch. Food Overall was very good: My appetizer was yumm and so is my the other person, soft deep fried calamari was excellent. Chicken skewers were moist and sauce was perfectly spicy. For the main dish disappointment arrived, all main dishes come with rice and stir fry. Stir fry was the WORST I have ever tried, super hard giant pieces of cabbage+ raw zucchini made it unpleasant both on taste and texture. Main dish of red curry was excellent and rice was perfectly done. Basil beef was amazing (properly the softest piece of beef I have ever tried in my life). Desserts were good too my mango-chocolate mousse cake was heavenly and banana fritter had amazing crunchy but sweet coating on it . Lire plus

Even a snowstorm doesn't keep Toronto diners down, as we discovered last weekend at Jump in January. It was quieter than usual due to the weather, but our food was very good. We had an extremely affable waiter from England. The service started out a bit slow, with water poured and wine ordered but 25 minutes before some bread arrived. If we hadn't been so hungry beforehand we might not have noticed. Otherwise, the food was excellent. The Bacon-Wrapped Boneless Quail appetizer was absolutely delicious. The Wild & Tame Mushroom Soup was good, but as we told our server, it needed some cream to give it more depth and round out the taste. The Mahogany-Glazed Black Cod with Lentils was very good, and my partner had the delicious Beef Tenderloin. We'll come back again, but the pacing is a bit slow, so you can't be in a hurry if you're dining here. Lire plus
